Part it. That's what I'll be doing this summer. It's gong to be a giant pain in the *** but it's better than getting raped financially by selling it whole.

Advance dibs on your wheels. Man, that's about as bad as putting a dibs on Urban Soot's stuff as soon as he posts a "zomg, look what I just bought" thread.

I don't know that "the filter" would net enough for a Subaru transmission.

Should you need to part with or part out the green machine, let me know...I might be able to help.
...and I'm much closer than most of these jokers.

If I had a rollbar you could have it. Sadly I do not.

Things will be for sale when I post them for sale, not before then. No dibs. I can't keep track of that ****.

The recession has officially hit mt.net.

This is a sad, sad day.

Dibs on your roll bar and hard top.

Hopefully you guys can end up keeping the car. I have gone through a couple rough spots and sold lots of ****, but I never once thought of selling the miata. Knock on wood that I don't have to, but if it came to that there's no doubt I would do a part out. Without question.

Sure would be a bitch for me to have do such a thing without even trying out all the new ****.

The story of Hustler....

Hustler was once a *** for having no life, 40943095 posts on MiataTURBO and lived in denial by thuggin'.

Then Hustler sheds his gay shell and finally gives his car some *****. Miataturbo rejoyces and all is good... Hustler even cuts back on the thuggin'!

Hustler sells boosted car and becomes homosuperfag yet again.

Where is my God damn Pulitzer Prize?? Hell, i'll even take a Nobel Prize for Lit. for that lovely work of writing.

Don't sell the car man. After all that work. Trust me, you can work it out. I went though all kinda of tough times with my 99...but even when I had no job for 6 months, I managed to keep it....letting all kinds of other **** go down the flusher. But if you sell it, you'll be permabanned

If the time comes for a part-out, I've got $1k for the following deals:

15x8's + 3" Catback
or
Tranny + Dif swap

I'll pay shipping.

yeah, but the turbo miata is painfully unreliable and I don't want to deal with the same **** I dealt with on the VWs.

What the **** are you talking about? Explain what makes it painfully unreliable. I've driven mine for about 8 months now without a single issue. I think you are just worrying too much again.

If you need the money, part it. If you're just considering selling because you're afraid of maintenance you need to calm down. If you put it together right and treat it right you shouldn't have any issues. If anything, maybe lay off track time for a while if you want to be easier on the car and/or can't afford to wreck it.

In all honesty, maybe you should seek counseling and get some anti-anxiety meds. Following your posts since I've been here you worried every step of the way getting the car built, enjoyed it for about 3 seconds and now you're back to worrying.

I'm a federal contract officer technical representative, certified floodplain manager, certified grant manager, and a certified API community planner...I can do just about anything government related but every ******* government is on a hiring freeze.

well, that's what sucks about my job. I go from disaster to disaster...I could never work again, I could work again the very next day. There is no telling how it will happen. I lost 2 job opportunities due to federal hiring freezes, so its caviar and cris one day, soup kitchen the next.

I'll live in the miata if I must, but eventually reality will kick me in the nuts and it will come down to either food or a car i can't drive because I'm poor.
