too bad there's not enough rwd sedans out there, there always high dollar luxury cars but bmw is probably the only ones you'll find with a manual gearbox

new, used, doesn't matter. cressidas were great when i drove one, but that straight6 was nowhere near fuel efficient.

reading this thread makes me depressed. basically the answer is: you're SOL.

Hey, the "Smart" car is a good idea! Its called population control... See, all these yuppie ------s get their little smart cars, then the rest of the yuppie ------s in their H2's end up running into the little death traps because they're too busy on their cell phone while drinking coffee, reading the paper, and shaving...

wrong here. the smart car has an extremely safe cabin. mb did a test and ran an e-class into it head on at 70mph, cabin was intact. It's actually pretty cool that they designed it to mimic the shape and structure of a human skull.

99 BMW 318is, manual... Had one for years and got 30+ MPG all day long...

Not bad of a car either...

Another decent car was the Volvo 240 2-door with turbo and manual. Oddly was good on gas too.

Cheers,
Prospero

depending on the year of the 626, i know some of them were FWD. We had one we used as a battling ram.. best/worst $100 ever spent.

cressida was low 20's at best. we had one from 86 to 99.. great car.
