Is this what he does with the coldside?

What does he claim is the difference between letting gasoline vaporize in the cylinders vs. earlier, before the manifold? The total heat absorbed should be the same.

Or is it that extending the main injectors' on time isn't enough to get the AFR below 13:1 because they're too small?

Does the PC Pro work off of a MAP sensor?

Yes he is running out of main injectors. The MP62 with the pulley he provides is good for 200 whp minimum, realistically 205-210. There's not 200 whp worth of fuel in the stock fuel system. There's maybe 190 in a NB, 170 in a NA8, and 160 in a NA6 if the injectors are all fresh and the pump is strong.

I don't see what would be wrong with a PCP based system, as a PNP solution, if used with pulleys that made less boost.

Yeah. It was when BRP decided on switching their Coldside kit from M45 to MP62 he was hired to help. He did a new manifold but cast instead of the previous CNC piece. The sad part there is that the old BRP piece was boxy etc. because it had to be easy to CNC out from a block of aluminum. When going cast he could've done some nicer better flowing design (take a look at the Elise forum what nice manifolds their vendors did over just few months R&D) but he didn't - it is a copycat of the BRP CNC blocky piece with a little mounting polish and the bigger blower bolted to it. When BRP went down (I guess because of the ELF piggyback investment - they lost lots of money there), Tom decided to advertise it as his own creation. Back then he was talking big words about making the same manifold for S2000, NC Miatas, etc. but these never materialized. Now he is pretty much selling what he had with BRP back then. Instead of ELF he uses the PCPro from Moss.

His only so called "innovation" is, running a 5th injector and along with it selling a second PCPro piggyback (because the first one can't handle more outputs) for another $400 and calling it with tricky marketing name E-Cool intercooler instead of just "extra injector controlled by PCPro" (like pretty much everyone else using a 5th injector does).

He got CARB EO too.

Later contrary to his initial claims about not needing timing control he figured out he might need such and now testing PCPro timing cards from Moss. So if you're running his stuff you might end up running 3 piggybacks for maybe $1K or over. For that much money on the market you can find piggybacks which are much cheaper and can do much more in a single box...
