My 120 is the lower of the 2 multi-hour psyche evaluation tests I've had.

 

I do not know too many people who take part in multi hour IQ tests past the age of 10. I think my last one was at 8 and it was required to test eligibility for the "gifted" program I was in in elementary and middle school. Not even really sure how effective these tests are at determining real intelligence.

Tested in 4th grade. No idea where I'd test now.

 

Mine was part of an ADD evaluation. I was there pretty much all day long. I was having issues in school. It wasn't ADD, it was only boredom.

 

Net worth has nothing to do with IQ.

Exactly. I never got the exact results or atleast I do not remember them. So all I know is according to the test proctor I had an IQ of atleast 130 at age 8. I have no idea if IQ fluctuates at all as you age but I assume it stays relatively stable.

 

When I was in grammar school, I tested at 165, but there is no place on the poll to so indicate. It was also in the 1950's when people were much more intelligent

Chutzpah quotient would indicate net worth. That is a good part of why i make a decent amount. Millionaire small biz owners "living the american dream" typically have a lot of chutzpah and the anility to endure failire.

age is taken into account. old methods used to compare age to "mental age" and new methods compare intelligence to people of similar age, 100 being "average" and each standard deviation from average being 15 points.

 

Did the quick test, 134. A bit above average is about where I usually test in most things. Not a genius, just smarter than the average dumbass.

 

130 is actually pretty damn intelligent. Means that given a group of fifty people you are probably more intelligent than all of them.

Remember that 100 is the dead nuts average.

 

 

I took one to examine for brain damage after "severe" drug usage. One I got 120, another, 145. The doctor estimated, based on my drug use, that I have at best 75% brain function (meaning the rest is "dead" for the time being, waiting to be repaired over the next few decades).


The tests taken online are NOTHING like a real IQ test. Time is not a factor in most of the tests, and questions often are presented as brain teasers. Memory and spacial reasoning are not tested.



130 average with a cooked brain? I can live with that. FWIW: the US average is just below 100. The world average is supposed to be 100. The 100 figure is constantly recalculated to compensate for increasing rates of knowledge related to age. A 100 50 years ago would below 100 today. Not to say that they were not as smart back then, just that their knowledge/age ratio is different than the current ratio.

 

The test I linked earlier begins with spatial reasoning problems, and moves into memory and logic questions. In total, 57 questions to be answered in a 30 minute time period. I do agree that a 30 minute online test is not going to be as accurate as a proctored, multi-hour test.

I'm not sure the severe drug use issue really is one, but who knows. I tested 135 in 6th grade (30 years ago), and in the interim have used LSD 100+ times, and smoked nearly my weight in marijuana.
