There is a HUGE ******* collection of wrecking yards down by the border here. Literally, there are about 100 different yards all in the same area. There's gotta be a similar thing in the Bay Area.

 

I scored a 99 motor, 5-speed, and torsen swap for $750 from a salvage yard. Tell them you want a motor...don't tell them why.

"I need a motor for a 99 miata, I don't care what condition its in, just need it to get by." Then, you will have your retribution.

 

seriously, if time is on your side, shitloads of motors will float by you at reasonable prices.
or get an 01 head because apparently people dont want those yet.

yeah it can just wire it for it from what i see the signal it needs it prety simple rpm/map scaled.

 

MS can switch from advance to retard. you get good benefit from that.
