Is it actually a viable option with a 10u/1d DSL connection? I only haz about 30gigs of MP3z/Ogg/FLAC.

Yeah totally. With google music you upload your **** once and then it lives in their cloud available for streaming wherever you have internets. Might take a while to upload it all but who cares, only have to do it once and it runs in the background. I've been fairly successful streaming on Edge which is only 256k down.

One nice, unadvertised, feature is that once you upload it it's there until you delete. If your drive crashes/stolen/whatever they still have your mp3s and you can download/stream them whenever.

Edit: Answered the question about music not showing up. You have to enable auto sync on the phone.

Maybe you could use something to mask/block your IP address? I helped my GF, who is currently residing in Ireland, to get around a problem where Hulu and Comedy Central videos were blocked, and iirc a mask/blocker was the cure. Terminology may not be correct, but that's how I'm remembering it.

Music uploads and stream so slow it would not be worth the extra 2 jumps over the Atlantic.

Uploaded 2000 for 13000 and just realized i have 13000 songs and only like 1000 of them. Time to start archiving stuff i never listen to.
