Women That Know More Than Your Mechanic
Im the Content Manager at MyClassicGarage, and I have been commissioned to write a blog as a guest writer to drive more traffic to our site.
The owner of the blog has challenged me with this blog topic, "10 Women that will destroy your mechanic's ego by knowing his job better than he does." I need help making a list of women. So far I have Danica Patrick, then I got creative and started thinking of fictional women, like Angelina Jolie from "Gone in 60 Seconds" and Michelle Rodriguez from "The Fast and the Furious." So, what women do yall know that could embarrass a mechanic? |
I just thought of 10 fictional women that I just made up in my head.

Hello....Jessie Combs....

Ask Sarah |
Watch the podium from the last F1 race -- a chick accepted the constructor's trophy. Can't remember her name, but apparently she's a legit member of the race team.

Fictional bitches need not apply.
|
There are so many real life car enthusiast women in this world that if you are seriously resorting to some movie characters I feel bad for you and you should re-consider your blog writing goals
|
LOL, just because danica can drive fast, doesn't mean she knows the first thing about engines, or cars. Just because someone knows everything about cars, doesn't mean they can drive fast. I know it's supposed to be a humor piece, but it doesn't sound much more thought out than the typical "XX things that YY" list on Cracked.
The reason women "suck" when it comes to mechanical things is a sociological issue, not a gender issue. Maybe take the philosophical high road and discuss the results of gender inequalities and per-determined social-outcomes? |
Lisa Kubo? Vicki Butler-Henderson? Lynn St. James? Monisha Kaltenborn?

Goal easily achieved. Thanks for the help, though. Others have posted real women and links that have helped tremendously. Maybe you should re-consider your thread reply goals? Or is it to just achieve more posts, because then you have done well, my friend. |

Red Bull put a woman on the podium in F1 first | Reuters Also, how about Sabine Schmitz? |
Jessi Combs
Cristy Lee Bogi Lateiner I just did 30% of your work for you; lazy. |

Frankly, the whole concept of evoking fictional characters seems kind of pathetic to me in this context. You could fill your quote here just by paying a visit to the mechanical engineering department of the nearest major research university. |

no, miata2fast only did 33.3% of the work by only mentioning 1 of the three hosts of "all girls garage" and HE is also the lazy one; I performed 66.6% of his work.

Oh I get it. So you're lazy, and instead of actually using your brain and applying some research skills, you log onto a site, make a thread about it, and just let everyone else do the work for you?

Gotcha. Make MT.net your personal bitches that do your work.
in other words, too lazy to google |
Lol!! I was gonna type "in for 18psi retaliation post", but then I clicked on page 2.

I've always had a thing for Oksana Kossatchenko. No idea if she knows anything about F1 or cars in general though. I figured we were just listing chicks we dig at this point.

Alright guys, thanks for all the help!
The host of the blog we're trying to guest post on accepted the rough draft. We're the first ones to accept his challenge and actually be approved, so very much thanks to those who shot out some names for me to research. When published, I'll post a link if you're interested to see who made the cut. Thanks again |
Here's the final version Just a Car Guy: Finally, a great guest post you can be glad to read, I can be happy to post, and the Classic Garage is proud to present: "Ten Women that will Destroy Your Mechanic’s Ego”.
He took out the "sexy" photos I originally had, and replaced them with the ones you see in the link. Once again, thanks for all the help. |
+1 Sabine Schmitz from Toppen Gearen Deutschland
|
I raced with Jessie Combs at last years BAJA 1000. Spent a decent amount of time hanging out with her and chatting with her.
After being in the BAJA car for more than 12 hours, she didn't look nearly as good as she does in some of those pictures posted above... All in all she was super nice, but definitely a bit quirky |

I'm torn here in general...
I'm an engineer, and most of the women I am acquainted with who are exceptionally skilled at electrical / mechanical / software engineering are not, on the whole, also qualified to be pinup models. (The same observation, I assume, is generally extensible to male engineers, although I do not represent myself as being qualified to accurately judge the physical attractiveness of men in this context.) As a male member of the human species, I am certainly not opposed to the physical objectification of attractive women on general principle. On the other hand, I find it incongruous when I see material such as the above, which attempt to merge claims of exceptional competence in such a skill with "sexy nurse" costumes, bikinis and high-heeled shoes, etc. (eg: I would find it extremely odd to see a photograph of a well-tanned Larry Page or Steven Wozniak lounging on the beach in a thong as covert art in a copy of EE Times magazine.) |

I know a handful of hot female engineers from school. sadly they are not currently available via google image search for you.
there was this one girl though. she was in my welding class. came in the first day in a decidedly too-short-for-welding skirt. fuuuuuuuuu. she was also on my intramural volleyball team. my other female friend razzed me about her all the time. I could not defend myself. |

I'm pretty sure she was on the OP's blog link. She even has a retro comic. "Grease Girl and the Hot Rod Bomb!" |
