I find it oddly disturbing that while we were en route from IAH to RSW this evening, the captain came on the PA several times to give us updates on the game, which he was receiving from ATC.

Do those guys really have nothing better to do?

I'm actually pulling for the Yankees for some reason this year...as much as I normally hate them. I was a big Damon fan (namesake) from when he was with Boston...and have always liked Jeter. I also think A-Rod is working on being a person and not just a baseball robot.

I'm finally enjoying the fall classic for the first time since the 'Stros were in it though.

 

+1. Some of us are unfortunate to have him on the local forum and have met him a couple times.

 

I hate baseball, and I hate that the game has forced new episodes of Bones and Fringe to delay for 2weeks now. If the game stopped and the players went on strike, I would applaud.

Once the autopilot is engaged and the route programmed, um, not really. Just listen for your call sign as you get handed off from one controller to the next. And that's about it.

I can't think of two worse fan bases in baseball. the sox come in a close 3rd.

 

When i was in Philly a hooker offered me her "*** for $5, and its clean." For this reason alone I cannot deny Philadelphia. I should not that this hooker was not Artie Party, it someone far more respectable.

I should also note that it was a very large ***, so quite a bargain at just $5.

 

most people that don't like baseball just don't understand the game, they might think they do but really they don't. and you kinda need to know the little stuff to get it. With it's rule set it's pretty much impossible to ruin baseball unlike all the other mainstream sports.

 

btw, 3.5 hours for a 9 inning game is rediculous. they need to cut these things down.
