Wow just wow
I don't think any one at m.net has ever done something this bad :bowrofl:
So, Dont buy a VW - Honda-Tech |
That was awesome. I like the one guys comment, "it was like killing fly with a gun.". Haha
|
Just talking to my dad about this sort of thing yesterday when taking a wheel off his Bimmer. I dont like wheel bolts, it's incredibly hard to put wheels back on and I see no benefit over studs.
|
+1. That was great. I only read the first page so far. I'm gonna read the other 11 pages now. lol

"Again I also said, the key was lose I could push it and spin it, Since I didnt have a ez out and I had a tap and die set. I thought I could have used the tap to just pull it out since it was moving around. When I pulled it it snapt inside. Than I went and bought the EZ out... I was drilling and I couldnt get past the tap that was in the center of the key. Sorry for not being clear.
Dont know what habor and freight is, we do have a home depot though." I am thinking of doing something really dumb, taking pictures, then posting all of it on the internet for all to see. Y'all down? |
Wft why didn't he just take the other lugs off then drill out the broken one if its even needed? I guess you have to consider where it was posted though lol

Almost 60,000 views! Epic does not begin to describe it. I read the whole thing. This guy has one goddamn good sense of humor, though.

My VW service manager told me there's a galvanic thing that goes on between the plating on the bolt, the iron hub and the aluminum wheel on VW's - maybe not all, but on my GTI. I'd torque the bolts myself to 90#, then struggle to get them off with a 24" breaker bar. I even broke a Craftsman 1/2 drive ratchet on one(pipe over rthe end). Then I discovered anti-seize.
A VW dealer would have taken care of it in 10 minutes. On the other hand, it IS fun to destroy something that costs a lot to replace... |
Reminds me of the stop leak in the oil guy on here and the nos energy drink guy on a gixxer forum. Epic fails are awesome!
First thing everyone does is blame a product. Never themselves. |
My oil filter was stuck once, so I did the only logical thing. Being as it's hard to get to in Miatas, I fired up the acetylene torch and cut a hole in the quarter panel and inner fender. Being unable to gain sufficient leverage, I then torched away a few pieces of the subframe, lower control arm and intake manifold so that I could properly spin a breaker bar around in there. I'm so cool.
Reminds me of the guy on the Mustang forums who drained his oil and then ran water through the (running) engine to "flush it out" until the motor seized. Or the guy on the Honda forum who couldn't get his oil pan back on and wanted to know if he could drive to and from school without it. People are stupid. |

Can't find the Honda one at the moment. Somewhere on SuperHonda.com but I have better things to do than search there and I'm leaving work now to go have sex with my girl.

Depending on the cost of the wheel, I have been fed up with shit like that to the point where I would feel better being able to take my anger out on it like that and cut it to pieces. Nothing is more fucking frustrating than breaking a bolt, then breaking off the drill bit/extractor in the bolt. Especially a bolt that isn't easy to get to, and you are really left with no other options. I've wanted to do that so many times, so I give this guy props for being man enough to take out the big saw and hack that bitch to pieces.
