Firstly: Spike, there are huge french communities in Alberta. To the point where I'd estimate 20% of Albertians speak french as their native language.
Secondly: They are NOT crushing cars because they look like race cars. A vehicle must be caught at over 50km/h over the limit to be considered for crushing. Thats a little excessive no?
Thirdly: Yes Bryant is a douche-canoe.
Fourthly: The top-less thing is all over Canada, not just Hong-couver. and the wacky-tabaccy is decriminalized, a big step is legalization.
Fifthly: The squeaky wheel gets the grease. Like someone here said before me, don't blame Queerbec, blame Ottawawawawawa.

That's what I was trying to get across. The Frenchie Q-beckers are the problem in Canada. You guys on the west coast are great. Partying on Robson St. The drugs and hookers in the Gaslight district. Chinatown. You guys have it going on.
The Frenchies are only 10% of the population but they are 90% of the annoying and whiny people. That's why everyone else caters to them. If they don't get their egomoniacle (is that a word?) way, the rest of the country will never get any rest.

That you refer to Quebec as a culture is one reason other Canadians don't like you. It's pretentious and infers superiority. You won't find West coast canadians referring to their "culture". It's the we're cultured, your uncultured attitude that makes everyone else hate you. It's the same with the French in Europe. Nobody likes them either.
And no, where I live isn't that great either. Everybody's got their own problems. Everybody sucks. Some just suck harder than others.

No sales tax. It's a great place to visit because of that. Residents pay plenty in property and income taxes.

Thanks for verifying what I said previously. Something about speaking French makes people snotty (or is it snooty? both work) Q-beck IS a great place. Being a great place doesn't mean you have great people.

I wasn't thinking it through completely. Jocks, Goths, red necks, dot heads, gangsters (both bangers and wise guys), wanna be's, ricer's and many many more are still available for ridicule. It's just less likely the Frenchies will shoot back.
Friend of mine was a paratrooper in the 101st in ww2. Hated the French. He said after the war they sat around waiting for us to rebuild their country. "you made the mess, you clean it up" was the attitude. Didn't matter that we made the mess running the ****'s out of their country.
