Yeah, that thread is used for pretty much anything related to the DC-area... organizing drives, people asking for help wrenching, BS'ing about the weather, whatever. The thread is kind of like an unofficial sub-forum.

Well, I just read the last two pages and now I understand. Looks like that thread must have evolved into the corner fire hydrant that all of the local dogs use, eh?

 

Yah it started out as all the local NOVA guys meeting up and going out somewhere. Then after that first meet we kinda just kept the thread going. Now its just all of us BSing most of the time with random usefull information popping up every once and a while.

 

I started that thread for exactly the reason I stated in it... I was new to the area and wanted to find out what was up. that was 3+ years ago.

I think they're smart to leave it alone for the most part. it gets lots of views and views means ad revenue.

but I'm just proud to be a worthless part of history.
