Got a 1:49.3 on my follow-up trip, so now the goal posts have been reset. I'm heading back there on Friday, this time I've got RRs on the car instead of NT01s, so we'll see what that's good for!

Yeah, I've only got another 4 or 5 seconds to go to get to where the car should be. :)

Looks like the 2021 Speed Ventures schedule is out -- do we want to try this again? If so, May 15 or August 7? I'd vote for May. :)

There might be more track days to be scheduled for 2021. Only because I know the drag racing crew recently gave up most of their normal weekend reservations.

turbofan 12-05-2020 01:53 PM

I'll be working both events so, yes to both!

Scaxx 07-19-2021 05:47 PM

2022?

EO2K 07-19-2021 05:49 PM

Well, now that we're more than halfway though 2021... thread title change again? :p

icantlearn 07-19-2021 05:50 PM

Now that im back in the bay I can attend.

turbofan 07-19-2021 05:54 PM

2022 sounds like a party

Scaxx 07-19-2021 06:01 PM

@aidandj I miss bombing down to Cali with you

codrus 07-19-2021 06:14 PM

There's plenty of events left in 2021! NCRC at Sonoma on Nov 6-7 (Sat/Sun) looks like a decent candidate to me.

Id be in for that

EO2K 07-19-2021 06:17 PM

Knowing this group we should make it 2025 :loser:

I've never driven Sonoma, sounds like somewhere else I can be slow

I mean, I'm hoping to go to Sonoma at least once a month between now and then. Speed Ventures sent email saying that their event in a few weeks apparently only has 37 people signed up, so I may go to that even if none of the rest of you losers do. :)

I was there a couple weeks ago with HoD and they had less than 10 people in the open passing group -- got more open laps in one session there than in the entire 3 days I spent there with NASA.

Sonoma is awesome fun, but needs to be treated with respect.

2022 sounds good lol. Hoping to be done by then.

Roda 07-19-2021 07:56 PM

I'm still very interested in making it to Sonoma someday. Maybe the stars will align this time.

aidandj 07-29-2021 09:56 PM

I'm pretty close to signing up for this.

Looks... busy. How many groups are they running? I see 8 listed in the signup?
