I have to install my coolant reroute, once that is done I should be in like sin (and will also be going to the car show). Are we all going to the show or entering our cars into it, is it a pay to be in it, and does it matter that my car is kinda beat and the colors don't match up? I will go but don't really think entering my car would be a good thing. I second the black top and black windshield surround. Perhaps some satin black?

I was thinking about entering it but then again my car is not show quality either but what ever. I figured we all went up together like a gay miata group, and if if doing to top black it would be matte finish

it doesnt matter if your car is show or not. we care more about performance than appearance at our show. anyone can enter. Id love to see a group of 5 or so turboed miatas enter.

On a side note. Nick, those paint guns I was talking about aren't worth it. They are just some random guns he had left. He has no info on them and they have no markings/castings on them. Looks like junk.

So after this post we narrowed it down to not include the first weekend (apr 24-25). What is everybody elses thoughts about the other weekends? Anybody have any ideas on where to meet up? Maybe we can meet for food then drive...I would love to go to pepe's pizza but I don't know if I would be able to get into the parkign lot.

yeah school is getting pretty crazy busy for me so the miata probably wont be up and ready to go till may. Id rather do one of those later weekends.

Usually money is this issue when this type of thing happens to me, but that's not the case this time. I just really wont be able to have it taken care of by next weekend. If this happened 3 weeks ago, I could probably handle it. But I'm swamped with work as it is and if I slack any longer with the guys I'm already working for, they're gonna get pissed.

To tell you the truth, I still don't know what the issue is. I don't know whether or not the motor is still ok, or if its all just caused from the turbo. Either way I plan on replacing the turbo, but I still need to do a compression test. I'll be lucky if I get to that this week.

Its just starting to get nice out, so I'm sure we'll all have plenty of more opportunities to meet up and go for a cruise. It just sucks cause I was really looking forward to entering the show. :cry:

That sucks we won't get to see that thing. I got my freeze plug in, mangled my water neck to have a bit more clearance from the fire wall, laid some pipe for the reroute, put a new hole in my catch can, and plugged the old one. I still need to get the 2 holes in the spacer drilled and tapped, all my ic pipes beaded, get the fitting to pull coolant from the block, fab up a few brackets for the ic and radiator, and put all the front body panels on. I think I may be able to pull it off by saturday. Going to work on this shit during my lunch brakes all week along with after work.

Not that many people were going to meet....just me, you, joe, and Chris (Fastcolt). Dave and astroboy are already up that way.....joe isn't going, so its just the 3 of us. We'll have to get in touch with Chris.

My friend at the machine shop finished my spacer, picked up a new tstat and the rest of the hoses, got my iat sensor and barb for the mbcv set up, made the makeshift beader, and got the fitting to pull coolant from the side of the block. Tomorrow I am going to bead all my ic pipes and finish my reroute. Friday I should be getting temporary registration and starting it again.. Fingers crossed it starts :)

I mounted a new IC... Routed new IC pipes... Mounted a junk sparco seat I got for free...painted my new bumper and installed it and painted my hardtop... Tomorrow I'm installing my 6pt harness...I had a long two weeks but I finished it faster then I thought, pretty siked for Saturday.... Haven't fixed my boost drop off yet but I'll do all the fine tunning and boost once I hop on the dyno again

I am not sure if I can cut my temp sensor so I will probably spend the morning trying to decide what to do (big ass washer or cut the fucker). That is my hangup rite now. If I get it together and running I will go with you guys but really don't want to enter it because it looks like shit. I put one fender and headlight cover on and it is painfully obvious the color doesn't match. I am pretty pist at myself for picking the guys who I let paint it paint it.

I am putting the car back together today. I made the brackets for the radiator and intercooler, flared all the piping, finished installing the coolant reroute, reinstalled the cas and coil packs, and soldered my temp sensor wire back on. Now I am trying to figure out what one wire goes to and I should be able to fill the coolant up, start it, and fix the leaks.

im down whenever... preferably after may 10th tho. . . school is nuts. the miata is back up and boosting. I drove it from old saybrook to wallingford to On Track Karting and then back up to tolland. . . With some stupid antics along the way of course.

I had my running on friday :) wanted to drive it so bad but i still need to reweld my IAT, install my watermeth...ive been waiting 3 months for my dam bottle from my buddy its been on backorder from snow performance.

I actually debated for awhile whether or not to just start taking it apart and part it out. The plan is to order this china turbo, put a restrictor in my oil feed line, and see how it goes.

I'd like to keep it and finally enjoy all the work I've put into it. But there comes a time when enough is enough, and I've just about had enough. :vash:

Well I got everything back together in anticipation of starting it. Filled the coolant up with the front end of the car waaaaay the fuck up and had 2 almost steady streams coming out from under the car but it only started when the system was completely full. Figures. So one was coming from the heater hose (from the head), tightened that one up lickety split. The other was coming from the freeze plug...so drain away I did. Then when trying to get it out I accidentally pushed it into the block. That sucked a big one. After fucking with it (imagine monkey fucking a football) for 5 minutes or so I got that bitch out. I will be getting a new freeze plug tomorrow and trying again and will hopefully get ignition. When and where is this dyno? I need to have some new goal to try to finish my car for. I am also trying to get it done before this temp registration expires (friday)
