might be a stupid question, but, how many spots are free/open? Can some of my friends just pop in?
and do we just come in to the shop around 10am?

I am in Brooklyn, and it would take around 2 hrs to get to the address provided. So would like to know as many details as possible.

If I didnt have a fucked up hand and my car hadn't been sitting for the past 6 months I would have liked to join in, but unfortunately I don't see my car back on the road anytime soon. Maybe next time.

Tell your brother to save his money for a Junior Tune at Turbo Trix, he will not regret it since he is probably the best tuner i know and i have a bunch of friends who are pretty well accomplished. I am dying to get some go fast mods done to the Miata so he can do a tune. Junior primarily tunes porsche's, supra's, skylines, subaru's and evo's but if it has a port or a stanealone he will be able to make great power with a great tune.

Disclaimer, my port comment only applies to cars that have the ability of being open sourced and for the Subaru community has just reached a level where there is no point of getting a standalone unless you are running multiple maps and want an easy selector.

He is pricey though but from my experiences i wouldn't want to leave my car with anybody else for a tune. I know Mark the owner of Trix as well who is also a certified AEM Tuner but have not experienced his work.

I would love to see a miata dyno day but you could have chosen so many other facilities to hold a dyno/tune day that are more centralized to Manhattan. Especially the ones that i am local to [cough, cough] :giggle:

Why not just drive up from NY (or down from mass)? It is only a 2 hour drive. I am going to be driving 1.5 hours for this and I'm a sissy. We can't fill the stereotypical roll of the miata so pull the tampons out and get your shit dyno'd.

miataspeed2005 10-19-2010 08:34 AM

A week and a half away, I can't wait!

astroboy 10-19-2010 10:32 AM

I am really contemplating bumping my boost up for this event (last pull).

Not to sound pompous but i have been to so many dyno days over the years i only really go unless i know there is going to be something i haven't seen before. With my current work schedule i would only take the day off if there was going to be a beastly Porsche, supra, skyline, BT M3... etc

Sorry,

But i strongly encourage using Junior for any tunes, especially subaru's.

miataspeed2005 10-20-2010 12:48 AM

^^^^ this is a miata forum... All your going to see is turbo miatas GTFO

astroboy 10-20-2010 06:46 AM

I have a doozey for you then my friend: 94 sentra powered by a mighty ga16de that will most likely rip the rollers off the machine. It will be epic :D
