I think I read that Misty didn't have enough corner workers, so they eliminated the back straight. Normally, these events use the 2.9 mile config., usually CCW, but sometimes CW.

OK cool, just curious. Glad you all had a good time. I have never tried CW myself. CMRA always runs CCW.

So if a series happens in 2010 it would be more than two events right. All at the same track, or a few different venues?

It would probably follow the NASA TX schedule, with each person being able to drop their two worst finish's or skip two events. You can rent AMB's for 50 bucks a weekend, everyone from a novice to advanced would have a safe run group. I know a couple of us would run NASA Time Trail/Miata Challange. JZ has most the info but I think his computer crapped out last night.

The club racers could just use their qualifying times for that particular day as their Challenge time.

Although I would recomend they/we only be allowed to use the same day as the rest of the miata challenge guys to get their/our times done. That way if the Challenge guys aren't planning on showing up until sunday and the conditions are better on saturday, no one will have an advantage. Make sense?

i like the running group idea and it definitely has to be same day.

The next event MUST have individual time attack laps with a timing device.

it would def. be on the same day. partly because times will be sorted and there will be trophy's handed out at the end of it. that's why i say it should just be sat. sometimes you get 1 extra session on sat. also.

also everyone could get a transponder. or if someone wanted, they could even share a transponder and split the cost, it would have to be on just one car per session though. not gonna be fighting over who had the transponder on lap 7 of session 2 or some bullshit going on.

here's a vid from my car at tws. it's from my view of the video dainbramage posted. not as exciting as his since there aren't any car to look at. actually looks calm in there, but in reality i'm trying my hardest to gap that wht. gtr
i get a little sideways about 2:00mins. in! i pit 1 lap after joe (d.bramage) in the red spec miata got 2 wheels off completely sideways and pitted. also, i must have been ahead by alot when i passed that red stang. the gtr doesn't catch up and pass it till the start of the frt. straight in joe's vid. by that time i'm already turning in at the end of the straight.

You'll just run an amb transponder all day. You'll be hitting traffic through out the day but you'll get some open laps.

Some of you guys pm'd me about the lap times, I think JZ has the sheet.
