Default MegaSquirt Meet, April 28 at Road Atlanta

It's almost MegaMeet time! Come on out!

When: April 27/28/29 (28th will be the main 'MegaMeet' but the whole weekend will be a blast!)
Where: Road Atlanta @ The Classic Motorsports Mitty!

The MegaSquirt Meet will again be at the Classic Motorsports / Grassroots Motorsports 'Mitty' at Road Atlanta in April 2012! Come and hang out with the DIYAutoTune team, Bruce, Al, Ken, James, Phil and the rest of the contributors to the MegaSquirt project and have a great time!

The Mitty itself is a total blast with a weekend full of vintage road racing. There's camping onsite, a party on Saturday night at the big GRM/Classic tent (free beer), and a great time is always had by all.

We'll be doing some mini-seminar showing off the latest products, and some mini-techsessions discussing MegaSquirt EFI and how to properly implement it, what the gains/benefits are, etc.

If you're on Facebook, you can RSVP here:

https://www.facebook.com/events/156458074456239/

We need to know how many are coming so we can setup adequate space. Also let us know if you're bringing your car and would like to corral with us! There are always some fun rides at the meet, like that T-Bucket above with the Lamborghini V12 that showed up last year! Bring yours and make it a party!

Am I never going to be able to make it to the mitty? As always it seems - have to attend an annual family function that weekend

OMG - The 'family' plans have moved to the 2nd weekend of May! Whoo Hoo - nothing to stop me now, other than lack of cash... at least the beer is free! Any place/trouble to drop the hauler and park it - it's not like my track miata is street legal... and I'm sure the paddock will be reserved for the racers

Lack of cash is not an acceptable reason not to be there.

Take the hauler. There's lots of parking, but get there early so you get a 'good' spot.

I would think if you showed up sometime Friday you should be fine. I know when I got in Friday afternoon last year there was plenty of parking near the DIY tent.

You'll find a place to park no matter what time you get there, but the 'prime' spots (such as near power drops) will be taken by mid friday.

That is the spirit. Being a boss and deciding you will be there.

We've put up a page about this on our site with more detail, as Facebook doesn't work too well for long messages:

http://www.diyautotune.com/events/megameet_2012.htm

Also, we've booked a local band, HangOverture, to play there. Their guitarist is also a MegaSquirter, with a 240Z with a pretty hot turbo motor under the hood.

Really I just want one of the 6UL's you have broke to use as a lamp stand.

In June I am heading up to WVA to go to hyperfest. You should come up and drive at SP instead of going to comp school.
