Miata's @ Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca

Miatas at Mazda Raceway Laguna SecaIt's promissing to be a great event w/ 2 days of racing @ LS. Anyone here going? I'll be driving up the Friday before and staying @ the track. It would be nice to have more FI racers @ this event.

hustler 01-13-2009 10:23 PM

I mean its Laguna Seca.

twothirdsCobra 01-14-2009 12:42 AM

For a weekend event @ LS, hell yea.

Savington 02-08-2009 02:55 AM

Hustler, Laguna is retarded. $350-400 for a weekend day during the summer. $250 is a smoking deal.

its so fucking retarded:mad:
there is a miata track day at t-hill on april 20th I believe for which they are charging 230/day. I'm a jew and this boils my blood:vash:

What do you guys pay for track days? I hear of yall going all the time, so it must be a huge bit cheaper

johnwag 02-08-2009 03:10 AM

Hustler is Hallett spoiled. Hallett is dirt cheap! $95 a day for five 15 minute sessions.

Our track days/weekends can vary from $195 to $295.
A one day event at motorsport ranch will run you $200 for 5-6 25 minute sessions.
A two day event through the driversedge.net will run you $295 for eight 30 minute sessions over a two day weekend.
Eagles canyon offers $150 track days, but I don't see them on the calendar. No telling if they will bring it back.

johnwag 02-08-2009 03:11 AM

I will be most likely be at the mrls event with Matt Andrews and Gary from Track Dog Racing.

18psi 02-08-2009 03:18 AM

if we had 95 dollar track days I'd be at the track way more often

y8s 02-08-2009 11:41 AM

what the hell is a 15 minute session? autox?

nicacus 02-08-2009 11:42 AM

Miller Motorsports Park:
For Cars the cost is $210 for half-day and $300 for full day. Save money by pre-registering, the cost is $205 for half-day and $280 for full day.

A full day includes a minimum of (2) twenty minute sessions in the morning and (3) twenty minute sessions in the afternoon. A half day includes a minimum of (3) twenty minute sessions in the afternoon.

I'm far too broke to go..

Track days around here vary by which club is running but most are $140 to $180. Portland Raceway and the new Oregon Raceway are similarly priced. Pacific near Seattle runs a little higher.

It's the Texan's that get the bargain track days it seems.

miatamania 02-08-2009 04:28 PM

No kidding, it is stupid expensive around here.

kotomile 02-08-2009 04:42 PM

Any charge to come in and spectate? LS is only 15 minutes from my house...

Also, I've logged about 50 volunteer hours there with SCRAMP, if there is any volunteer work to do there LMK and I'm there.

Edit - spectating is free! Now I just want to know if they need volunteers..

Savington 02-12-2009 11:30 PM

Koto, bring a helmet and come find me.

kotomile 02-13-2009 12:03 AM

Awesome man, thanks!

I did manage to get in touch with the organizer, and he's going to let me volunteer. I'll just have to take a long lunch.. :)

Does the helmet have to be full-face?

Savington 02-13-2009 02:15 AM

Nope, just has to be SNELL most likely.

I'm a reasonable man. reacharound for a ride.

Anyone have a laptimer they want to loan me for the weekend? They aren't doing timing. :(

Of course, I would expect nothing less.

I have a MS lap timer that bolts to the steering wheel. I'll just PM you.
