Accommodations at Fontana area already mostly gone. You will have to deal with whatever is left. I will be releasing my room in the next day or two.

If anyone wants to meet up in the area for a couple days on a different weekend let me know. I am only a couple hours away.

I stayed a little tiny house "village" last year that was about 5-10 mins from Tapaco Lodge that was pretty nice. They also had an area you could park a truck and trailer. Archie's Place was the name of one of the listings on AirBnB, but there were 2 or 3 other tiny houses on the property. Brian & Iris were great hosts. Even going as far as to making us a key after I lost it off the top of my car rushing to catch up with the mt.net crew. They also include a little local brew with each stay.

I'm driving down and staying with jcoupe for the first time this year! Pretty excited, hopefully my rig stays together. Anything I should bring besides tools, beer, and a camp chair?

Extra oil. I always seem to use quite a bit. Maybe that will be different with my vvt motor though.

Staying with us in jcoupe's cabin? Nice! Yes, you'll need extra fluids/lube for sure

So it looks reasonably good that I will make it. Waiting to hear if there is room at the inn for me (I'm not Jesus, but sometimes I have a beard like he did).

You’re welcome to split my room with me, at the village. PM me if interested.

Some babies do. At this point in the history of mankind, I don't make any assumptions as to what my ancestry might be.

You don't need extra fluids if you never check them!

Planning to make this as my first event, does anyone have a lead on accommodations? Anyone want to split the price of a cabin?

AHHHH, just barely 14 days till i plan on leaving. Still so much to do before then... about a 2500 mile trip for me. Going to be my first time and slightly nervous, was going to trailer down there but was looking at almost 1k each way to rent a uhaul. Staying in myrtle beach for 6 days after the MATG event. We ought to get a MT group together while down there.
