Awesome weekend. Thanks to John Roberts for picking a cheap fun hotel. Had a great battle in TTE with Chris all weekend.

Yes, good weekend, OH MY GOD MY LIVER!!! There were a few "HST moments" this weekend created by a mix of methane huffing, extreme booze ingestion, Jake with a gun, a 5-year old with a pension for assault, and late-night creating wrenching/posing.

Chris helped me a lot with data this weekend and it will definitely make me faster, after watching my video last night I realized that I've been wasting time and money by not shooting video and recording data every single session, every time. I could have easily dropped 2 seconds from my best lap, which would give me a respectable time.

BTW, this weekend my Omori water temp gauge quit working, my Greddy oil temp gauge quit, and on the way home my stock oil pressure gauge quit. I thought I was supposed to break things like transmissions and turbonators?

Once I figured out what height the spec suspension liked more, it was a pretty good day Sunday. Next race I may actually have an alignment with at least some neg camber and not adjust my toe the night before with a crappy tape measure. All in all, it was a good test day.

I will see you guys at Cresson.

I had a blast right up until the point my trans ceased to function as intended and turned into an overpriced coffee grinder. The trans was the last thing I expected to break this weekend...so of course it's only natural that it went down like that. So, the question is....back with a 5 speed, swap to a 6 speed...or V8 swap?

6-speed, 3.63. Cheap, easy, reliable, comfy.

3.63s aren't exactly easy to come by these days are they?

No, but totally worth it. If you don't drive it on the highway you will like the 3.90 too.

They have become a lot harder recently. I would be perfectly fine with a 3.9 and 6-speed. I will keep an eye out for both locally.

Seriously guys, how many people did we shoot this weekend? I was so drunk when driving around and looking for random victims that I can't remember.

I think the real high-light of my weekend was JZ's air matress whistling and him awakening to blow it up in shifts. This was after we argued about who's farts sounded cooler.

They are easy to get, they just have become way more expensive. I think mazdaspeed still sells them new, prices just went up like $200 in the past few years.

Great weekend with awesome weather and a really good turnout - finally got to match a lot of faces to names.

/pours some liquor on the parts that failed over the weekend.

Great battle with Jake in TTE over the weekend - I got him on Saturday but he got me by .045 on Sunday. Held off rharris by a tenth on Sunday in TXMC.

Felt like an excellent first weekend on a new to me track and all the changes over the winter required zero attention.

Chris
