Default TxMC changes for 2012

I have the schedule pretty much set so I'll post that soon, but there's a couple changes I wanted to share and why.
First, we will be running the TxMC timing on Sunday of the weekends we run with NASA instead of Saturday. Few reasons for this. Looking at timing from the last 2 years, we always run faster on Sunday. Part of the reason might be the fact that we got a day of practice the day before. Another nice perk running on Sunday is the fact that the run groups are always smaller meaning more chance for clean laps than Sat. not to mention it's a little cheaper on Sun. if you run 1 day only.

Another change is we need to have an actual timer of some sort. Getting someone free to stopwatch laptimes is getting to be too much. This is our 3rd year, everyone should have a traqmate, hotlap, amb, phone app. etc.... Also, there is a new beacon type lap timer that is incredibly inexpensive. I will buy one to loan out but if you buy a receiver/display unit, I will have the beacon setup and you will get laptimes the whole day. Go to slipangleracing.com if you want to check it out.

Lastly, this was posted in the rules before our first season. You must sign-up before the start of the day we are timing. Entry fee is $10

I support all of these changes. The tracks are damn near empty on Sunday.

Who wants to let my sister borrow a timing device?

You don't have to worry about it. I'll take care of that. How? Just like all the other people with beacon timers do. I'll stick it on top of a tripod before the track goes hot.

For anyone who hasn't been out yet, if you like 4 Loko, grilling with a license plate, alcoholism, grabass/minor sexual assault, berating, homophobia, creative profanity, and total domination, then you'll love 1%-ing it with the TXMC.

Rumor has it that the project I am on at work might be moving to Texas. I need to convince my boss that I am needed full time and that the company should pay to relocate me out there.

**** yes. I think we could establish some sort of an ABSURDflow VIP section around my future van, complete with my new, special bumper sticker:

Act surprised, lol. I immediately ordered that sticker for future van which is neither futuristic nor will be purchased in the near future.

If I move out there I will need a van to bring all my stuff with. We could park near each other and totally wall off and make a super secret VIP club. I am planning on running bondagevan.com out of mine. So we should have lots of fun toys for our VIP club.

I support these changes, and I will be participating in 2012 in the Modified Class.

I hope I can stay on the track with my hard street tires, but if not, I will return to Unlimited where I will own 6th Place.

Hopefully I will be at these next year with the spec car. It sucks that I didn't get to do much this year. I am picking up an enclosed trailer soon, so I am pretty stoked about that.

A MMC? (Mobile Man Cave)

Double 0, It'll be great to have you back! Just buy a set of RS3's and dominate. You can even drive to the track on them.

Robert, I hope you will since we're running alot of the NASA schedule. you should be there anyway if you're running SM. We just use your qualifying times.
