TxMC round 5 @ Texas World Speedway!

According to what I heard, which makes sense based upon where they forced him off of the track, the driver turned right at F3, instead of continuing toward T9, and then made a left at F1. He was forced to the corner worker station at T4. The correct track direction was clockwise.

Not really to close, I'd guess about 6' from the rear end of the car as it spun aound. Did both feet in and when it looked like I was going to hit, I let off the brake and cranked the wheel pretty good and hoped it would turn. If it didn't turn I'd say I would have only hit it at about 30mph or so.
I must be getting comfortable at going off (practice makes perfect I guess) cause in the past they would leave me a bit shaky from the adrenalin rush. Not a bit any more. Not really sure if that's a good thing or not
EDIT: here's a proper lap...http://vimeo.com/13829201

Nice^^^^^ man, I was soooo close to taking your 2nd place in ttb on sunday. I was like 5 hundredths of a sec. Slower probably due to a little bobble coming out of the carousel. Ran a 2:00.008 in the last session. I'll post my video once I figure out how to do it. I got one of those keychain spy cams and hoping it worked good. I'll post the results and whatnot tomorrow from work, my puter's dead.
I do wanna thank the few that made it for coming out and supporting this. It was hot, but I've driven in worse.

Glad to see you got to run a bit at speed finally. We were all very close, as MyLaps shows Mike turning 2:00:000 as his fast lap on Saturday, then he got kinda screwed when they red flagged his session...
I dropped my best by a half second on Sunday, but dq'ed it with the off. At least it was good video...
Looking fwd to ECR, which has been wet in my three time I've tried to run there. You guys may want to bring some rain tires cause I'm snakebit trying to get a dry session there...

broken wires inside the insulator near the ecu. isolated it down to the larger plug, twisted it just like it was, taped it tight and then immobilized it. i just need a new harness, who knows what other wires will break like that.
sorry i didn't get back to you on sunday, i was busy messing with those stupid wires and my phone was on the charger.

here's vid from last session on sunday. took a warm up lap, 2 hot laps, and a cool down. fastest was 2nd hot lap at a 2:00.088, little bobble coming out of the carousel probably kept me from breaking into 1:59's.

sorry about the video quality, this is from my phone, plus i couldn't get the video into movie maker to edit it down. skip to 3:45 start of hot laps, or 5:45 (start of fastest lap)

results from the event. i had a whole event report typed up, but of course it got erased while i was at work so this is all i'm typing now.
street class:
1st place quan p. (nc eunos) 2:13.010 10pts.
modified class:
1st place jon w. (jonwags) 2:02.905 10pts.
unlimited class:
1st place dan l. (sixace) 1:59.688 10pts.
2nd mike e. (ezstep1) 2:00.000 8pts
3rd steve p. (double086) 2:07.361 6pts.
4th john z. (spoolin2bars) dnf 5pts.
waiting to see if they got a lap time for me. had elec. trouble all weekend
got a few laps in on 4th session of hpde group, but doesn't show my lap times on mylaps. if anyone has a session 4 sheet with my name/lap times on it lmk. i did get a few trouble free laps in on the last session on sunday and managed a 2:00.088 best lap, too late for the challenge, but atleast i could have been in the middle of the battle had my car ran at all on saturday.

actually i got a 2:29 in session (trial 3) on saturday, but that's the same as dnf (5pts.). i was coasting alot in that lap. only reason i was out there was cuz i wasn't sure i had actually past the start/finish line twice in session 2. it wasn't until the last session (in hpde4) that i actually got a lap with the car running the whole time. i might have even gotten a lap fast enough for 3rd place, but for some reason no lap time from my transponder (which i know was working) i swear i have the worst luck ever. not as bad as msr-c (won unlimited by a second, but transponder no worky) but not much better either.
