Default TxMC updated season points standings

after round 4 at hallett:

here's the updated season points. again these are raw points - none of the possible 2 drops being used. although a few guys have missed an event, in effect using one of their drops.

street class
1st quan phan - 20pts. (nc eunos)
2nd paul flores - 10pts. (flores)
3rd (tie) kris painshaub - 8pts. (snake kp)
3rd (tie) bill groves -8pts. (****)

modified class

1st john wagliardo - 31pts. (john wags)
2nd (tie) robert harris - 17pts. (rharris19)
2nd (tie) jacob groves -17pts. (jacob300zx)
3rd joe self - 16pts. (dain bramage)
4th james leasure - 10pts. (geezer)
5th (tie) carter white - 8pts. (doghouse)
5th (tie) colin tan - 8pts. (tann3r)
6th brian stubbs - 4pts. (fidgitk?)

unlimited class

1st (tie)michael eastep - 26pts. (ezstepr1)
1st (tie) dan lantz - 26pts. (six ace)
2nd john zepeda - 25pts. (spoolin2bars)
3rd trey rozelle - 24pts. (hustler/blk. jesus)
4th steve price - 14pts. (doubleO 86)
5th david osborne - 11pts. (****)
6th john roberts - 4pts. (zx-tex)
7th carter white - 3pts. (doghouse)

the top 4 cars in both modified and unlimited are set for a year end battle. and even the fifth in both classes can be right back in the mix with a single win. remember, these points are not counting any of the 2 required drops. so as long as you don't miss more than 2 events, you will still have full season points possible. so even though it looks like wags has a commanding lead, he hasn't missed an event yet, and if jake, robert, and joe came in 1st,2nd,3rd at an event, and you use one drop of wags points (the others have all missed 1 event already) they could be within a few points of each other in a single event.

next event: tws (clockwise) july 31st, bring sunscreen! and your *****!

Got the sunscreen ready, and since I left my ***** somwhere on the banking before turn 1 at TWS last time, I hopefully can find them when I get there.

Very cool that 4 of us in unlimited are seperated by a single point and the other classes are still up for grabs too. Get started on that wiring harness swap yet?

tws - july 30th
hhr* - sep. 11th
ecr - oct. 2nd
msr-c* - nov.

* tentativley scheduled
we are supposed to run our event during a chrono-x at harris hill road but some events have been dropped due to low turn out, hopefully this date will be kept on the schedule.

msr-c is supposed to be hosted by a Team MER track day. again, this is counting on them to come through for us. although i have spoke to jason saini and he really wants to make it happen also. i would really like for this to be our season finale to see what kind of progress we made throughout the year, to the extent that if Team MER wanted to do the event in conflict with ECR i would drop that event to run msr-c for the final!

but alas, if those other events don't happen, the only ones set in stone are the nasa run TWS (cw) and eagles canyon events.

I'm skipping TWS because it too hot, but I'll crush your skulls at the rest.

Actually, someone told Hustler that there's a "No Homo" rule at TWS.

Suggestions for next year:

Cut Hallett
No one wants to drive that far, plus it's not Texas. Also, it forces participants to choose between Miatas at Hallett and NASA at Hallett, 'cause it's tough to do both. If we need another track, Harris Hill should do nicely.

Cut Street Class
Gay. (No offense to NC Eunos )

suggestions noted. might just do a just a few tracks but multiple times next year. depends on how many of us get timing equip. or if we can scrounge up the money for a beacon type setup where we could get lap times during open track days. we'll see. next season is still a ways off.

It is a lot cheaper running with miatas@hallett. $135 vs $200 and the $135 is for all day friday and the standard groups on saturday. Way better bargain!

Yeah, Friday is like 6-hours of open track time. I can't think of a better time to ork on set-up or just drive the shot out of your car.

It was friggin' hot out there on Sunday for the RideSmart trackday, but traction was noice. Even my VFR was scrapin' pegs like nobody's bidness.

Bitch excuse #1 nullified...NEXT.

EDIT: I say that ****, but my brother got REALLY dehydrated and highsided coming out of carousel when the moving roadblock he was coming up on brakechecked for 11 for some odd reason. It was no fun answering the same 10 questions over and over for hours on end at the hospital after he went into "goldfish" mode.

The commute is the problem, not track time weather. Drive a car with no ac, 100* heat, a hood vent and you will HATE life on the 4-hour commute.

I like NASA and plan on runnin tt with them next season. Open passing and faster cars and competition is win.
