BTW, you'll want something fairly heavy to attach the tape to. Last year I was trying to do it with the cones that I keep in my trailer box and the wind was blowing them around. Trailers make better anchors.

I'll be bringing a trailer, you have a trailer, and we'll have lots of space in between.

I'll be at Baja Cantina. Potential for at least +1 with me.

Ok, so I said 25 people and that didn't phase them however, there are options we need to consider. I told them we were a "car club" doing a "track day" at Laguna Seca so they may have assumed we were doing a banquet kinda thing.

1. If we want to "reserve" the big room and make it "private" its a $2,000 minimum, but I think the room seats 75-100 people. No separate checks. With 25+ people we get a limited menu, see linked PDF

Banquet Menu: http://www.carmelcantina.com/wp-cont...-MENU-2016.pdf

2. If we don't want it "private" we can make a reservation for a cluster of tables in the back as part of the big room, but they will fill in the rest of the room as needed. I believe the nice lady said something about tables for 6? Again, no separate checks but they are willing to break it out "per table" so at least you are only fighting with the people around you over who gets to pay for the appetizers you ordered 'for the table' Ordering and food delivery will be first come first serve so everyone may not be eating at the same time.

Full Menu: http://www.carmelcantina.com/wp-cont...ner-1-1-16.pdf

So unless someone with deeper pockets than I wants to front money for the full room it sounds like #2 is going to be our best option. Right now they have zero reservations for 7pm October 1st so the sooner we make the call, the better.

Definitely #2. Maybe if we had 50+ people we could hit the $2k minimum. But no way with 25 people I don't think.

Let's just get a bunch of 6-person tables. Can we push them together?

Doing a banquet starts to get too much like the organized things we're all trying to get away from, IMHO.

Based on the amount of stickers they don't give out, I assume they don't even have pockets.

I'm in for Saturday night festivities and le Baja, maybe a +1! Planning to either camp or drive home overnight, and still figuring out if I'll be in on Friday. Camp spots are for single person/tent use it sounds like?

Friday night would likely be the same deal if I'm there.

They have tent sites, and hookup sites. The hookup sites tend to be very crowded. We had the tent sites to ourselves last year.

Some random pics from last year of our site, and how short hailey is

Hell yeah, that looks great! Our ladies are pretty close competitors in the Excessive Roll Bar Clearance Challenge. I see it works out well for your GoPro.

Thanks for clarifying!
I am only going to be there Saturday and just to meet and hang out with you guys.
I would definitely like to be able to park in the miata kitty tape area of the paddock.
I would also like to be able to park at Baja Cantina and I will obviously be eating dinner with you guys too. I will head home after dinner Saturday.
Please save a parking spot for me in the paddock Saturday morning if possible.

I don't know what is going on, but sign me up for everything. I'll be with all of you guys!

I'm taking a trailer of parts to try and sell while I'm there... rollbar, rims/tires, injectors, fuel pump, oil cooler kit, brake pads, full gopro package, the headlights... maybe the v8 roadster bbk if I can pick it up from Vs, some other stuff...
