Indeed, you need a roll bar but not a harness.

But... if you haven't done any track days, you shouldn't be in C Group, regardless of how many autoxes you've done in the past.

Mobius 06-14-2017 08:46 PM

I registered for Mixed on Oct. 6th.

icantlearn 08-22-2017 01:18 PM

Who is camping at the track?

turbofan 08-22-2017 01:42 PM

Me! but... I still need to reserve my space!

turbofan 08-22-2017 02:03 PM

Space reserved!

aidandj 08-22-2017 02:10 PM

I am.

icantlearn 08-22-2017 04:18 PM

I am going to camp on Friday and Sat. But im trying to find out where everyone is camping at. How much is it a night?

turbofan 08-22-2017 04:24 PM

$32/night plus $10 flat reservation fee. We will be camping in the dry spots #130+.

EO2K 08-22-2017 04:31 PM

#130 and up... that's in "Grand Prix" above T5 & T6, correct?

codrus 08-22-2017 04:32 PM

I am camping at the event hotel. :)

Roda 08-22-2017 06:01 PM

We'll be in Chaparral... forgot the space number. It was ~$37/night with water and electric.

icantlearn 08-22-2017 06:29 PM

aidandj 08-22-2017 06:33 PM

I dunno. I'm thinking maybe Elli's Great American Restaurant | Salinas Restaurant and Bar

They have eleven billion things on the menu, and they have covered and glassed off outdoor seating with big overhead propane heaters. It's in South Salinas so it shouldn't be completely retarded as far as pricing goes (eg: no $14 burrito) It should be perfect for a group our size as it'll keep us separated from the general population, will be reasonably warm, they won't try to limit us to a "special menu" as a group, I'm sure they would be happy to do the checks "per table" and no one else is going to want to sit out there in October. They generally have a pretty solid selection of beer on tap too, so that doesn't hurt.

I'll try to get over there and snap some pics of the menu. The ones on google are all illegible 200x200 scrapes from Yelp.

aidandj 08-22-2017 07:31 PM

Menu doesn't matter that much. If food is decent and we have a place for buttseks we good.

EO2K 08-22-2017 07:44 PM

Yeah, but at the place we met up last year I had a burrito and a negra modelo (that I'm fairly certain was from a bottle) with no lime and it was like $25. No bueno.

Usually I can get 3 beers and 12 tacos for that kind of money from places where I can't pronounce anything on the menu, but that would probably freak you guys out :giggle:

Heh, I'm not even sure Tarpy's would've charged you that much. :)
