1.6 Miata 527hp dyno pull

Get this shit out of my face.

LukeG 11-07-2017 10:50 AM

Added a screenshot of the dyno chart from the vid because it goes by so fast.

lol

lol at AFR plot.

but yes, at 37psi, id expect power.

What's the hostility?? I bet he makes 3 times more power than you.

what's your point?

concealer404 11-07-2017 01:08 PM

Oh good. This place was boring today.

4500rpm starting points for dyno pulls is about as offensive as asking underaged girls to sit on your face on social media.

https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...9dafee469b.jpg

18psi 11-07-2017 01:10 PM

it's only 3 times more power cause it's running a Hyper re-route

....How you been, peter pan?

LukeG 11-07-2017 02:52 PM

Let me guess... he's selling it for $20k?

ridethecliche 11-07-2017 02:57 PM

Probably started the pull at 4500 because it would been mind numbingly boring watching that turbo spool from 2k.

18psi 11-07-2017 03:08 PM

it's a 1.6

it would have made so much torque the chassis would've twisted

ryansmoneypit 11-07-2017 03:30 PM

I wouldn't be surprised if they needed a bottle of compressed gas to get the turbo to actually spool.

18psi 11-07-2017 04:27 PM

op provided the gas directly through a tube. bottles are for babies

StealthNB 11-07-2017 04:47 PM

How do you know all these nonsense? You guys are a bunch of cry babies. It's a 1.6 miata making 527hp. I am sure with a better tune and minor revisions expect even more power.

lawl?

18psi 11-07-2017 04:49 PM

meanwhile Andrew made 450 on only 26psi today. on a clearly inferior 1.8 ;)
and more torque. and just past 4k rpm

Braineack 11-07-2017 05:22 PM

its cool. dont provide any details though.

no one gives a shit about movies. andrew provided actual details. thats why no one gives a shit about this random video. dyno videos are the boringest videos on the internet, next to porns of your mom.

18psi 11-07-2017 09:33 PM

it's on netflicks

ridethecliche 11-07-2017 10:03 PM

I mean. His goal was to build a drag car and stick to the 1.6. Good for him. Those are definitely impressive numbers no matter how you spin it.

I'd be far more interested in seeing his quarter mile times at this point if he has actually built this car as a drag car and he's actually going to use it as such.

Without build details and actual legible data there's not a whole hell of a lot to talk about.

I'm not into 1.6 engines or underage girls. Both are woefully lacking in things I find important.

Leave my mom alone you ------, She passed away a long time ago.

With regard to movies, this dude called Mr. Mattman probably owns the highest hp 1.6 miata to date. I bet he is close to 11 second passes at the 1/4 track

I mean I have a customer with a $1500 setup who runs 12.6s in the quarter mile. I would hope someone with over 500whp can hit 11's.

sixshooter 11-08-2017 10:23 AM

Do you remember back when 11 second quarter miles were considered to be quick? And do you remember that easy girl that you should not have slept with back when you were much younger? Peckeritch Farms remembers.

sonofthehill 11-08-2017 10:45 AM

So far it's actually 12.7's but close enough. If we don't get rained out and I can get my BOV to seal, then perhaps I can get deep into the 12's. Bid if's though.

That setup was a total freakin' deal!

Running 11s 1/4 miles with a purpose built drag car that has 527hp and weighs under 2300lbs is not impressive. It actually sounds like he either can't drive or doesn't know how to setup the car.

Miata2fast was targeting 11s with an all motor build and anticipated he would need just 220whp with a projected car weight of ~1950lbs.

He's also a pedophile.

And we have FM2 kits here running deep 11s on street tires. Whoop-de-doo.

Just because you enjoy a solid 9" in your rear doesn't mean everyone in his family does.

Chiburbian 11-08-2017 12:04 PM

On one hand, that powerband is completely uninteresting to me. I won't comment about the personal stuff...

The work on his car looks pretty nice though, at least what I can see of it on his instagram. It doesn't look all hacked together.

JasonC SBB 11-08-2017 12:55 PM

His setup is making more hp/L/MAP than Andrew's recent allofit build. <ducking>

18psi 11-08-2017 01:02 PM

When you're not winning the game, just change the rules.

My car is the highest hp miata with a silver paint job and bird poop on the windshield.

There. Nailed it

18psi 11-08-2017 01:03 PM

I almost had you, 11's, I almost had you bro

sonofthehill 11-08-2017 01:10 PM

Mine is the fastest green one with bird poop on the windshield

he's also running a "stock head" to 8500rpm, running 10 lbs more boost, and going lean at 7000rpm.

The definition of "stock" has changed drastically in the last few years.

It's stock casting. Nothing else in it is remotely resembling stock. This thing idles like a Puerto Rican drag car, possibly partially due to interesting tuning, but it has some huge cams.

Braineack 11-08-2017 01:21 PM

well I mean he rapes young girls so...

Pretty much a CNC'd billet aluminum head.

sonofthehill 11-08-2017 01:28 PM

On second look, I don't think I understand that dyno chart. Is there no torque displayed? Why don't what I perceive as HP and TQ lines cross the at 5250 or whatever. As if I have a clue.

HP and FTLBS are scaled differently.

Braineack 11-08-2017 01:31 PM

but it says stock on his video description.

I like to lie to people online too to make myself look better; especially to the younger crowd.

sonofthehill 11-08-2017 01:33 PM

Thanks

The head itself is stock. Probably.

18psi 11-08-2017 01:38 PM

turbo looks stock too

Braineack 11-08-2017 01:38 PM

stock doesn't mean the stock casting from mazda, it means unmodified. he might as well say his block is stock too.

meanwhile, savington isn't trying to have sex with minors and thus we know exactly how he built his setup.

18psi 11-08-2017 01:40 PM

I keep admirin that afr plot. need to get on his level

We're on the same page. I'm merely informing you that across the internet, "stock" doesn't mean what us old farts thought it did, anymore.

18psi 11-08-2017 01:43 PM

that car is bone stock with a hyper re-route. y'all are just crybaby old farts

sonofthehill 11-08-2017 01:45 PM

Guess I need the hyper reroute

Did you miss the part where I said hp/L per kPA of manifold pressure?

matrussell122 11-08-2017 03:35 PM

So supposedly this car is for sale with salvage title for just 20k

HP/L/MAP is a silly metric because it can be skewed heavily by RPM. F1 motors make far, far more HP/L/MAP than a Sprint Cup motor, for instance, but the Sprint Cup motor actually has better BMEP in its narrow operating window. Nobody is silly enough to suggest that F1 motors are exponentially better than Cup motors (at least nobody with knowledge of both).

He made 357wtq at 37psi, I made 427wtq at 27.5psi and did it ~3500rpm earlier than he did. I'm not impressed by setups with peak torque arriving past 7000rpm.

JasonC SBB 11-08-2017 04:40 PM

Oh LOL the blue line is torque not power?
