Oh and the Go-Pro guys put a camera on the splitter and on the rear deck lid, they were supposed to hook me up with those videos but I haven't seen them yet. It's a bit unfortunate because I had 3 of my own cameras to put on but I figured there was no need since they were already doing it.

This will also be shown on the Versus network sometime this fall, I think they will edit in some Go Pro footage from the cars.

Yea, they had 1 or 2 comments that were way off, but for the most part they did a pretty good job and had a pretty good idea what was going on.

 

that was a great race. sorry about the brakes. you were doing great till that happened. i've been thinking about running ptb or a next year with nasa. i know i'll get alot faster running wheel to wheel. cost of the cage and gear has me second guessing it. congrats though.

 

Tought I had replied - but that was a very fun race to watch! Thanks for laying it down out there so we sublings can dream Sucks it ended like it did for you on the LAST fricking lap! Next year you'll take the championship, right? Be sure to remind us when it airs on VS, my DVR ususally catches them, but ya never know.

 

Yea, I'll post the Versus air time when I find it out.

Unfortunately, I don't think the car is capable of winning. I mean it was on that day, if a better driver had been in the car. The problem is it has similar power to weight as the other front three cars (actually I think the white prelude has the highest power to weight), same size tire, but ~500-600 pounds heavier. The only advantage it has is mid-range torque, however it has a stock diff so it can't actually use it. The front two cars both have O.S. Giken diffs and they would just kill me coming out of the keyhole and the carousel, the places I should have been gaining on them...

If the race were Road America it would be a different story...
