7/14/12 track day at ORP
Drove over to ORP with a couple friends, nail:
And Martin:
Had a blast, my car impressed the ---- out of me, I could have gotten away without opening the hood. Truly amazing, especially since this was my first track day on the artech setup.
There was some interesting results though.
Liscense plate paint is feeling the heat of the turbo:
Silver BBQ paint is failing, you can see the original paint color on the head flange.
Very small amount of blow by or whatever you call it on my filter, this connected to the driver's side. The passenger side is the stock Pcv setup.
And here's what concerned me the most before hand and amazed me the most afterwords, this rubber water line stayed intact without any shielding, not even a hint of damage.
This I found weird, the rebuild kit from gpopshop.com came with new half round plates, apparently coated with something even less heat resistant than my 1300* BBQ paint.
I'll get some shots up of me once the photographer finishes uploading the pics.
Here's nail:
And I have some gopro videos to show y'all from three different mounting positions, that thing is fun to play with.
What software do you guys use for cropping videos? I have a few minutes of idling in the beginning of all of them.

If all you want to do is chop the beginning/ends of the videos then Race Render is perfect for that. It will also let you combine all three videos so you are displaying 3 screens, or a main screen with 2 pip overlays, etc.
On someone's recommendation I picked up Pinnacle Studio 15 for actual editing jobs. It will do lots of things I probably will never need it to do.

Dude. I sent you $15 for beer money! So really it's only $10 out of your pocket.
It is dead simple to use, and for what you can do with it, you won't find anything under $25.
Edit: also, you need one of these on your gopro mount to reduce the overwhelming wind noise. I watched Olivia's test video repeatedly and it worked every time! Might watch it one more time to make sure it still works.
Edit2: btw which photographer was that, I need to check for my photos from June.

Just a miata friend who asked if he could take pics with his DLR. They gave him a sheet of paper with photographer rules, a radio, and a high visibility jacket. He's not a professional, he posted the pics on his flicker for free use.
