3 Attachment(s)
This is my exhaust my buddy hand build for me last week. It sounds amazing, not too loud suprisingly, looks good and performs awesome. I didnt want a muffler for the record. Sorry pics are so crappy ill have better ones this weekend with it off the car. Enjoy!

Nice...I just did mine 2 weeks ago but I think yours is a bit nicer. Now that I passed emissions I got to put some more straight pipe back in mine!

very nice!! Think he can make one for me?? I would like to have a resonator somewhere in the middle of mine...
|
two 6" mufflers? cant really tell.
|
Very nice. Very similiar to AbsurdFlow setup
|
your wheels are ugly, like your girlfriend.
|
The first picture is the only one that's worth anything. Delete the other 2 and get some better lighting... and need a pic of the forward part that mates to the cat... and need more rust. Otherwise looks like a decent product.
HOW MUCH DID IT COST YOU? |

answer to questions?

Sorry, Parts were around 300 from summit, mine only has 1 flex section, the rest with straight pipe. Ill get a sound click asap. He will make exhaust for pretty much anything, only thing is....the car must be on site. He doesnt plan on mass producing these, each is custom.

This stuff doesn't look all that complicated, but I have a question? Assuming you're in good with a muffler shop, and they have access to 3" SS tubing and whatever else you want in the form of flex-sections, resonators, and mufflers, what sort of setup works best, assuming you're mildly concerned about being a good citizen and not getting arrested for noise?
Most of the BEGi downpipes have a flex-section in them already. Do you need one on the exhaust as well? Assuming I'll have no cat, I've always thought that the "common" street setup was to have a small resonator (for noise suppression and scavenging) in the long straight section behind the transmission, and a small bullet-muffler (for noise only) just behind the pumpkin. It's gonna be a little louder than a traditional muffler, but you'll essentially be talking about just 2x45* bends in the whole system. How the hell do the usual suspects sell $1000 catbacks when it appears you can get an awesome one made for you for 1/2 of that? |

First off, My begi dp does not have a flex, so we put one on the exhaust. Second, this is a 700 dollar job, 300 in parts, 10 hours of maticulous fabrication. Third, im not sure why this exhaust is not raging loud, You know its got an exhaust on it, but doesnt give you a buzzing headache on the highway. Ive had cops next to me, behind me, every which way and had no problems.

Did you just use 2 90 degree bends, a 45, and straight pipe? I wanna make sure I get the right stuff when I buy my bends.
|
We used 2-180 bends, and one straight piece. There are also some misc. parts as well. 2.5 inch flex, and a 2.5 to 3 inch piece.

What's the price difference between aluminized and stainless? I have no winter-driving issues, and I don't care what it looks like.
It just boggles my mind that this shit costs so fucking much. I'm half tempted to get a stock 3" exhaust out of an old diesel truck in a junkyard, hack it up, and JBWeld the fucker together. |
