Wow that video is old. He didn't give a crap about the car and was able to laugh it off because it wasn't his. It's some Japanese TV show if I remember correctly.

 

The Miata is a pretty stout car. My old employer used to buy Miatas at auction, and some came in looking really really bad, but I never once found blood on the interior or any major intrusions into the pass compartment. Had one that had the engine flattened against the firewall, and the rear bumper on the gas tank, and only problem with the interior was a buckle in the transmission tunnel on the drivers side. The impact broke the transmission in half. Very safe cars!

The guy in the green suit is Keiichi Tsuchiya or better known as the "Drift King". He's laughing at Akira, his colleague, because he "overspeed" into the corner (went into turn 1 way too hot). The cars they run for this segment of the show are usually prepped cars by car enthusiast shops for touge runs.

That car is actually an RS Aizawa car with a built N/A motor and ITB's. You can google video Best Motoring Touge 200 and see the full thing. The show was better when Orido was still on it. That Ikira guy is no where near as good of a driver as some of the other people on the show.

Haha not really, I just like to watch Best Motoring. I like it when they do stock car comparisons. I dont like the name JDM Quinn, I made it like 3 years ago lol.
