Seriously though. I haven't gotten together with Miata owners in CT in years.

 

Do you trailer your car around the east side of ct? If the outside looks like the inside and you do I have seen this car rite by my house last year.

 

The car is a rental from a friend who lives in Mass. The car is an ex-Planet Miata car and has a blue and green exterior.

Suggestions:
Turn wheels proper direction
Think about how you want the shots to turn out before you shoot
Adjusting your vantage point always helps
Your pictures are very cluttered, lots of stuff that draggs my eye away from the cars
Keep shooting

Edit:
Don't always go by the internal light meter on the camera. For the above picture in this post. Its "properly" exposed but if you were to over expose it a bit then the shadow on the rear of the red rice rocket would be more lit up. (Can also be done post processing, but easier/better to do it while shooting)

Shoot in RAW
This is the best shot of the bunch, IMHO. It follows all the rules, however i would have choose a shallower depth of field to draw the views attention back to the cars. Also would have underexposed it a stop or two to keep the whites white and not so blown out. Setting a custom white balance helps alot too, it appears that whatever white balance you have is working nicely here. (auto?)

Practice the "rule of thirds" more.

Another thing that would have done that shout some good is some flash fill, but it would be hard to execute without a directional flash.

 

The feedback is greatly appreciated! I was actually showing all my recent photos, these car ones included, to a photography nut at work who has been shooting for years and he mentioned many of the things you guys did. Next time I am going to experiment much more....live and learn

 

I will totally agree, love the wheel and color combo. Especially it being a roadster. And the flares are the sex too. But when you have a front end and a rear that looks like a 2003 Bomex , ya know the ones that came with the meshed inserts? LOL

Get those things off there man and do that pretty thing some justice!
