I agree with Curly, you can see in the shot from behind he hits the brakes, nothing happens, the lets off and then gets right back on them and he locks them up. Probably just a bit of panic when he was closing that fast on that turn and found no pedal, then pumped and found a lot of pedal, too late. I'm just amazed he went through that gravel so fast.

 

Yeah, I had to retract about what I said about him braking late - brake failure at it's worst. did you catch the Cont. Tire race yesterday on Speed? Man, there were 2 100+ mph head-ons into the concrete walls. That last impact dislodged the wall and the repair to it finished the race under yellow... and the drivers just got out and walked away, thankfully. Thinks I need to re-inforce the cage in my miata!
