that's a good start man, but I think that there are too many colors that add to the chaos. I don't know what your assignment is, but it looks like it should be on a poster. If what you're trying to do is get attention, you want to get it without drawing negative attention from all the craziness. Basically just keep the color scheme simple. Also I would next time try to get a higher resolution picture of a car. IMO doppleganger has a good example you could work on. A nice effect to enhance the image would be to have the background slightly show through the glass, so it doesn't look like you slapped a picture on top of the background. One last point, for the text, you want something in the middle of the two styles you have. Not too straight and not too loose. Don't forget to keep the font color in scheme with the rest of the picture or it will look really out of place. Your second is a little better.
A good thing you have going on is that the picture draws your eyes to the center, but I guess that's dependent on what you're trying to do.
And for chrissake get rid of the star and the pink goddammit

Obviously not a car. One of my favorites I have done though. Probably over 1000 layers, and thats not even the final version. I kept going back to it for months and adding little bits. Its really addicting.

Thanks. I just used good old reliable Photoshop 7 and the pen tool, and a bunch of layers. Up to that point in the last picture probably took 15-20 hours. The final version was more like 25-30 hours total. I lost my copy of PS7 and can't afford to spend $200+ on CS3 or 4.
