yeah, my wife thinks I can install a new EFR and build a motor for "about" $1000.....then she heard me talking about a $1500 bill to the machine shop.....lmao

That's about right. There's still only one digit to the left of the comma when all is finished.

Pretty much everything is about $100 if held in one hand, a couple hundred if it takes both hands to hold.

Car parts are priced by the pound.
