Lot's of Mexican beer sucks by the time it gets here and sold off the shelf. The heat and time turns it skunky. The same brands that are nasty here taste a whole lot better when you are in Mexico. It's fresher and hasn't had as much time in the heat. Local beers FTW.

I'm more a Negra Modello man myself. Seems to hold up to the travel better. Dos Equis, Corona, Tecate all get pretty skunky.

i really enjoy dos equis amber on tap at my favorite mexican bar, my wife likes the lager which isn't nearly as good.

Problem with most Mexican beers is that they are imported bulk and bottled here. Mexican bottling practices apparently don't cut the snuff with the FDA.

So for some odd reason (sun on aluminum tanker maybe) it tastes like crap here. In Mexico it's great. You can bring your own back though, and we always do.

Try Bohemia if you're down there.

While I was watching that video, I couldn't help but think that it seemed like a ripoff of TG's Stig introductions. All you need to do is preface each one with "Some say... " and they'd seem perfectly at home being spoken by Jeremy just before a power lap.
