Of course, Time Trials will be unlimited, so NA and FI will be against each other. Can't do classes cause most people will be there just for track time, and it'll be hard to get everyone enough sessions if we have to do small groups for several time trial classes. Obviously we don't want to have 20+ cars out on track when people are trying to set fast lap. I figure 10 cars on the 3.1 and 20 min sessions should be enough to limit any traffic issues, since all cars will be going for fast lap.
Here is the layout for sessions I think will work well, please share any input you have.
9am - 1pm: 20 min sessions (all cars)
This would be for all participants, and this is where TA cars would work on setup and track familiarity. Standard passing rules apply, "only in designated passing areas". 20-25 cars per session, 4 groups. This would give each group 3 sessions.
1pm - 2pm: Time Attack Q1
All TA cars. 20min sessions. This is for FAST LAP. Passing rules are open. If you have a faster car coming up behind you, move off line to prevent hindering the faster car. If you are in the TA, we expect you to be an experienced driver and know how to drive and watch the mirrors (track awareness). Blocking will NOT be allowed.
2pm - 4pm: 20min Sessions (All Cars)
4pm - 5pm: TA Q2 and Q3
6pm: Awards for Top 3 TA.

Well, I'll start to grab up sponsors when I believe the interest is large enough to be successful. I don't want to do what a few people I know did, and jump the gun trying to do an event and wasting months trying to get enough people to want to come. You end up either cancelling or paying out of pocket cause you already committed.
I am not gonna go on the "I'm interested +1" that seems to happen alot. If you are interested, send me money, and lock in your spot. If it doesn't happen, full refunds, if the price goes down due to sponsors, refund the difference there as well. The other 50% would be due the week before the event. It's pretty simple, if you want to go and have the money, then you'll get your spot locked in, if you don't have the money or you think you'll just default, you won't send the money. Makes it easier to get a real idea of who is gonna go.

You don't need the whole day. Just buy an intermediate group in a full track day. That's what we're doing for the first one. Obviously, the host promoter needs to be OK with your shenanigans.
Get a local vendor (s), (Track Dog, Begi,et.al) to sponsor it to cover the cost of the run group. In our case, Slick Auto bought the group and is selling the spots. I'm doing the promotion for Miata Challenge
Some promoters who might be having trouble filling groups might be willing to negotiate a discount if you buy the whole group. Less hassle for them.
If you guys do it, keep me in the loop as far as rules go. It would be nice if could keep a nationally consistent rules set in case the thing grows.
