Nice one, I love that track. It was designed for Miatas. Hopefully I will be down there this spring.

If you ever need any Miata/race help contact Miata Specialists, best shop ever.

You need to take video inside the car so you can see what you're doing.

My Hard Dog Roll Bar gets here tomorrow. I'll be mounting my gopro on it angled towards me from now on so I can see what I'm doing right/wrong.

Lol my harddog is coming in pretty soon as well. Which one did you get and whats the next track day that you're going to go to? I'm definitely going to the March 23rd Superlap at ASR.

I got the Hard Dog Sport "M2". Next track day for me is in April. I would love to go to ASR, but that won't happen until next year when I have my truck and trailer. lol

I'm going to the AutoX in Amarillo on 17 March.

I got the same bar. Double diagonal? I dont have the weekend off for the Amarillo auto x. Make sure and get an alignment otherwise you will destroy the shoulders of your tires like I did last year.

I got it without the diagonals, now I wish I did. Car has a fresh alignment.

Wasn't to hard to install the bar, it had a hardcore bar in the past. So with the sport I had to drill new holes.

I'm looking to install a bar for trackdays. I want to be legal for the track (for fun track days -- not racing) but still have a good street machine. My local track, MSR-C, requires a roll bar that passes the broomstick test to run. I'm 5'10". I'm just wondering if any of these bars really pass a broomstick test with stock seats. Swapping in a race seat and 5-point for track days wouldn't be out of the question -- maybe that's what I need to do.

I can help with this question. I am 5 10 like you and I just put in a M2 Sport DD in my 01 and I sit with my head brushing the roof. With a helmet I cannot fit with the top up so there is no way I would pass a broomstick test. I do have a long torso so that definitely affects the fit. As in I sit with seat several clicks in from the back but my head is still on the roof. I definitely think you would need a lower seat. I bought one but it hasnt come in yet. I will let you know how it improves my driving position and broomstick clearance.

What Chili said! I'm 6'1" 220lbs, I need to lower my Corbeau seat with the use of sidemounts. With that being said I'm gonna have to drill holes into the floorpan and maybe I will be able to have the top up with ny helmet on.
