Default Nürburgring Nordschleife in-car 720p

This track is wow, just wow. This is my 20th lap ever, 8th dry.
8:58 BTG (did a 8:46 two laps later when hunting a guy doing 8.10's for warmup).
In this lap, the same guy is sitting next to me commenting my bad lines. I'm happy with the time, not with the driving.

This is a seriously difficult track - and that is an understatement. It's 20.8km long and the BTG section is 19.1km.

Congrats, You have the oppertunitiy to do what MANY OF US HERE will never be able to do so. Its gotta be nerve racking not rembering every turn, along with worrying about what is preparing to blow by you that is faster.

Getting to run with other cars can show your own speed too... I liked watching your sold AFR's tho. Must run good

Great JOB

(ide love to be an instructior there, more laps than ever)

Dont mind me asking... how much does a Day cost you there ? along with instructor, how do you go about it?

Ok, you import the German country side, I'll pave it, then 82 years later we'll have our US Northern Loop.

What is that creaking noise, exhaust against the sub-frame? I'd say go a little easier on the car, you're downshifting to red line, not necessary, especially with your power.

There are some 'tracks' like that here, very close to me in fact, but they are patrolled by LEOs

Buddy and I stopped by the ring on the way to baumholder and ended up finding a hole in the fence after hours. We ended up going counterclockwise and met up with the pace car doing a final lap to make sure the track was clear. We had his Saab 9-3 full of **** and were just mozying around. I assume the fact that we were going the wrong way made us look like idiots which supported our excuses. The proceeded to escort us the long way off the highway nicely.

I shift too much on this track, I know that. But if you shave off 20sec each next lap, the speed goes up and so does the need to downshift. So, it's all learning.

The day costs € 369 which is very very cheap. Next up are € 500 days and € 700 or more section-based training days or weekends.

The guy next to me is a good friend from the ringmazda.com project. He used to race and instruct there.

The creaking noise is from the tires somewhere. If I run smaller it doesn't happen. It doesn't worry me, it's an indication that I'm faster than slow

I have a few questions, and Im sorry if they are stupid I have never been on a track.

1. Whats the grinding noise when you turn right.
2. Why are your popups up? It looks bright enough you shouldnt need them? Is that a track thing?
3. Whats the cellphone thing near the digital speedo? Why does the bottom one keep going greenish?

Tire hitting liner most probably.

The track supervision wanted them on, it rained before. In the sun I normally run without any lights so the brake lights are more pronounced.

RaceChrono. Green = current sector faster than best lap, which is good

So your tire rubbing something its not supposed to, on a race track, is not something you want to inspect?

Data-loggers have software that does this. I could have bought traqmate if my god damned CHRA didn't die.

No, I just broke out of jail.

The gauge and MS differ slightly. MS is good and aimed at 11.2. I'm having some work done this winter and will redyno. I will also see what 1.1 and 1.2 bar bring.
Good **** though
It's a great and challenging track that you need to keep your head to, too little run off for **** ups.
