N/A chikara miata laps tsukuba
This video has just made me very proud of our cars. The first time a naturally aspirated miata set a time almost in the under 1 minute range at tsukuba. I timed a 1:00:86. This is the Chikara blue ITB miata with its sequential tranny and hundreds of lbs of downforce.

I was thinking the same, but on a full out racecar that only sees the track it shouldnt be that big of a deal. I wish they had stuff like this in the states. That was my first time seeing a miata with a sequential at all. I also didnt think that the motor could even make it at 2.1L as the cylinder walls get really thin at even 2L

They're expensive to make but would be well worth it. probably anywhere from 10k-20k to get one built. I knew there had to be something like that for miatas somewhere in japan. The thought of a sequential on a miata race car always sounded quick to me. You can save alot of time that way

That car does not belong to Chikara, it is Garage Hundred One's car.

I'm calling BS on this. There is no way to get 253 ft/lbs without FI on any 1.93L engine. Horsepower can be gained with revs, but torque is a function of displacement and efficiency. With correct intake tuning efficiency of an NA engine can reach up to 110% (slight forced induction by using aerodynamics of an intake) but 1.93L and 253 ft/lbs doesn't add up NA. Even the GSXR 1000 only makes 87 ft/lbs per liter, and that's a bike engine! Anyone who thinks NA Miata engines can be compared to Honda K series, let alone supersport bike engines needs to look at dyno graphs. The highest torque I've ever seen from a BP motor is in the 140s.
In short, this motor is not more sophisticated than a bike engine and an F1 engine at making torque. BS.
