Default Need NC Pictures and a new car

Alright guys lets put our noggins together and find Loki a nice car. My 1997 Camry was flooded in a nasty downpour we had and the damage is beyond repairable. I am working with insurance to get a check and the car (then fix and sell to carmax or some ****)

But i need a car, ideally under 20k that i wouldnt be too embarrassed to drive up to a jobsite with a bunch of union jerkoffs or to a engineers office and not look like a 24 year old newb.

I really like a NC with a HT (not retractable) black and lowered. What do you guys think? Any other ideas? Other ones floating around are used avalon - so comfortable. Or a mazda3. I am staying with mazda toyota or honda (maybe nissan/hundai) Something preferably not older than 4 years.

I actually just found this picture:

Still can't decide if I like the red or not, but the car is on point otherwise...

I like the NC tremendously the more I get to drive/ride in one.

I've seen some great deals on New Speed3s.

depends on what you want....do you want a "couch on wheels" camry replacement, or do you want something closer to a miata? both can achieve the same goal of not looking like a dumbass newb. miata nc is nice, so is a 04-05 s2000 which can be found for about 23-24... as far as couch on wheels, lexus es, is, avalon, camry, all can be had used with low mileage for your price range...I notice (and love) the iJew avatar, and somehow think you will find a good deal

Allow me to clear things up a little. Ahem.... there is nothing more assured in this mad world than one fact... engineers love Volvo's. Your new car:

Come to think of it, my dad's an ME, and he once leased two Volvos back-to-back; an 850R and a V70 T5R. So I guess it's true.

Seriously Loki, I wouldn't drive anything modded to a job site that wasn't a jacked-up pick up or a nasty sounding muscle car. I assume you won't drive either. And don't drive a "comfy couch on wheels" to a job site either...softie. And if it were me, I wouldn't be driving an "Asian ****-box" to a jobsite, either.

Just my experiences with job sites...

Depends on what type of "job site" and what you're doing on the site. When I was working in commercial general contracting, I wouldn't drive anything other than my busted to hell jacked up, 4wd nissan pick up. Partially because I didn't want to get stuck, didn't want to get the miata muddy, and of course you get the "old timers" that give you **** over driving an import if you drive a "sport compact" (yet a NISSAN truck is fine...?) But if you're a higher up PM or something of the sort then you are almost expected to show up in a nice clean luxury type car/truck.

I deal with PMs 50% and consulting engineers 50%. I want something that i can have fun with park in the city without going ape-**** every time someone comes near it. I am really thinking NC, part of me is just worried about it in the snow. But i guess thats what winter tires are fore.
