Bump. The LFA is on this weeks Top Gear, Hammond is driving it. He seems pretty happy with it.

SKY (Mexican satellite)...watched it at 9pm last night on a real TV.

****'s worth it even if you don't speak Spanish. Live F1 races, lots of soccer games, and of course the real BBC Entertainment channel with Top Gear every Sunday night. $32/month, and most channels have both English and Spanish audio.

It's not a bang for the buck car to put it mildly. What it is a rolling technological test bed that happens to be amazingly fast beyond what the specs would have you beleive. Pity it really won't hold up against the GTR in the end for outright performance.

Then again, look at how many are likely to be rolling around, and all the unique attributes. I'll bet it eventually becomes car you make money on rather than loose money on. So the price is not quite so crazy from that perspective. Shoot, they sold Reventons and 1.5M dollar Bugatti Veyron Targas. How crazy is this in compairison? I'll bet its more fun to drive than the Bugatti anyway.

For me the single coolest fact is that the engine revs so fast in neutral that no conventional tach can keep up. Thats not normal in any production car.

The real significant impact is the technology that will drift down from it.

Stylisticly, I just dont know. To me it always looks like the hood is unlatched. The shoulder vents are cool, and the rear treatment is cool, etc.

Also check surfthechannel.com. I stream the latest episodes from there weekly on my shitty connection. They don't actually host the videos, they just tell you who is. I always use Megavideo. The others suck.

The car mags say $400,000 not $300,000. They also say Toyota loses money on every one at that price.

I think I'd rather have the much more reasonable GT-R..

That said, I think it is badass.

At 1:22.8 for a Top Gear Lap time in the wet thats pretty good. Its 3.1 seconds slower than the GT-R, and you know they say a wet lap is worth 4 seconds . Supercars arent supposed to be affordable, if everyone had one they wouldnt be so super would they?

LOL! My dad is manager for the Associated Spring automotive/industrial division, and he was telling me about how Toyota chose to go with their competitor instead of AS Barnes due to slightly less cost. Oh, the retribution.
