Looks so much nicer with that in there and should keep your charge cooler too!

looks like it means business. I like when the intercooler fills out the whole opening. every other miata around this place has one of those gay *** whimpy looking ones that look ugly.

good job man

Yeah, looks about 10x better. No more note card intercoolers.

What was the objective? The new IC has less volume (barely) but more surface and way better exposure. Curious to see the results in IAT and impact on the other exchanger(s).

Be hard to compare IAT since the temps here have been so drastic all the logs we have before before this install are from days where the temps have been in the 50's or lower now all of a sudden the temps lately have been in the 70's.

My main objective was more exposure don't think the air was really hitting the top part of the intercooler behind the bumper. And I wanted to fill the opening better.

Yeah I definitely like the more aggressive look, with the other intercooler people kept saying "oh look at that cute little front mount" lol

Well what I have experienced with radiator sizing on random projects over the years is that radiator frontal area has a much bigger effect on cooling ability than thickness.

could imagine the same would go for intercoolers. So although it is half an inch thinner, I would think it would probably cool better. Plus the end tanks arent in front of the airflow to the radiator anymore.

Man, that looks nice. You notice any performance improvement?

Looks infinitely better. I would never, ever, ever buy those "note card" intercoolers, even if it'd work better. Looks liek you don't know what you're doing. I'm 98% "go" over "show", but those narrow I/C's are just stupid looking.

Good job.

And you've got shrouding in the mouth? So the air doesn't just roll down the face of the IC and under the car?

In the process of working on that at the moment, Hit something last week that pretty much annihilated my undertray so I need to get a new one of those as well.

It's hard to tell, still need to hook the laptop up and see if it made a difference in air temps. Before we didn't really have any issues except high load high rpm the temps would start to creep up so I am hoping this will alleviate that problem.
