I really need to keep it up with my camera. My main issue is that I start to learn my camera, then I put it up and don't use it for 6 months or a year and forget anything I learned previously. I only started really getting a hang of moving shots in the last hour or so, and by then a lot of the good stuff was over and light was fading even more, as was my vision. I couldn't see right the rest of the day and night, my eyes were crossed from looking through the finder.
Still really want my Nikkor 18-200 VR. My cheap Sigma brand 200 just doesn't cut it.

Got bored and doctored some of the underexposed ones back into usable form as best I could.
Sexy wheels...
Diversity in the grid:
Two more museum shots:
All for now, I need to go to bed.

NA6 - I'm gonna have to pay you next time to get some video and pics!
An epic Axis vs Allies kill... from sunday's session 2. Danced with him for about 5 laps, finally got him in T5 when he got too deep into it... and no - I didn't change the order of the pics, that's how it went.
My cheap LED flashlight trick...

I'll start with Bryan's (GeneSplicer) car. I couldn't find you today man, I saw you in your car when I first got there right after you had parked it after the first run, but I didn't want to bother you since you were still in the car and looked to maybe be looking at logs or something, so I went off to take pictures and never saw you again. I did see you on track the second time though, then you vanished again before I could make my way over there.
Paint looks great.

No payment required, I enjoy doing it. I hope to be getting my D3100 soon, a step up from my D50 I think, also with 18-55VR and 18-200VR lenses. Should make for a little better pictures. I'd love to get the vantage point that whoever shot those had. I assume the track photographers? Let me know next time there is an event at Barber and I will be there, maybe this time I can actually find you and speak to you.

Sadly, if there's an event photographer, they will not let you into those areas inside the fence. Until Indy, there was no catch fence so you could get some really nice shots from most areas. Still, T5 and the Museum is hard to get shots without the blessing of Barber staff to jump the fence... there are some breaks in the catch fence that offer some good shots, but nothing like getting on the inside.

One of these things is not like the others, one of these things is not the same:
Just realized I think I might know the driver of that grey and orange GT3 RS. I wonder how many GT3 RS's with that paint combo are running around the Deep South? I'll have to ask him next time I see him if he goes to Barber events.

Wow. That is some serious painting skills. I would have assumed decals.
