Well I am thoroughly impressed because he beat my *** by 5-seconds in a copy of my car. How much seat time does he have at MSR-H? More than 3-sessions?
He is the guy I was telling you about on the phone. This was his thrid track event at all. We ran lemons here but the track was shortened and reversed, so it is a completely different track. He really is just naturally that damn good. It makes me mad and impressed at how well he did Saturday.

He was in HPDE 2 because he wanted to go out with an instructor to have him teach him the course. He didn't get one though, so he learned it on his own. Hell I wanted an instructor in my car the first two sessions, but by the thrid I had gone over it pretty well and was stuck in my ways.
Here are a few I took.

Here go my best lap of the Texas Miata Challenge. The lap time of 1:54.40 was good enough to place dead last
in Unlimited, but Fourth Place overall.
After seeing the lateral G's and maximum speeds, I can see that I was not driving at 10/10ths. I probably could shave off another two or three seconds if I push the car harder. Oh, well, next time.

just saw your vid. nice smooth driving! you were going as fast as i was on the 2 main straights. only thing i saw that was the different was the back straight leading to sugar&spice. i got to 101mph, you did 97mph. i noticed that you were shifting into 4th after the launch. were you wot all thru there? if not, there's where you lost some time. i was wot and shifting a few hundred rpm early into 4th @ 1:33 in your vid. that allowed me to keep the throttle pinned over the launch and focus on keeping the thing on track.
