Default thesnowboarder blows 4th in his 6-speed @ Laguna this weekend :(

Turned the boost up to 16 psi which should be aprox 250whp or so, no serious mis-shifts or anything out of the ordinary either...

im sorry man!

does this mean you have met the limits of the 6 speed? or was it just wear and tear over time and abuse?

Highly highly doubt it, many others are using 6 speeds with much more power than myself. I can only guess it was wear and tear/abuse.

Wow, that sucks. Certainly doesn't seem like anything out of the ordinary when it lets go. Good luck getting her back together :(

That sucks man. Only thing I can think of is you're shifting incredibly fast and letting off the throttle incredibly quick. I know it's bad for lap times, but try (next time) letting off the throttle a little more gradually and easing into the gears a little bit more, with a slight pause in neutral. My miata would sit for months if I blew my transmission, so I've learned to shift it like a 50's pickup (which I've owned). Again, my condolences.

Something went wrong on that downshift, either way though, good to see my fellow ACL patient out on the track. The car looks damn fast.

Ouch! Maybe one day I'll man up and start tracking my car....this is the reason I keep putting it off.

you're making between 280-310whp at 16psi on a Mustang or Dynodynamics at 16psi.

That blows. No pun intended. Now not even 6 speeds can be trusted!

Going to rebuild, or replace?

Spinning the inside tire under throttle and then having it grab isn't so good for the driveline either. Add to that stiffer/solid driveline bushings and an upgraded clutch and the driveline gets even more abuse.

I made 233whp on the Mustang at 11psi, 282whp at 16psi. If you're running 16psi, you're making at least 275whp, maybe more.
