Junkyard finally produced some goooo shit. Today I found some Coils! I wasn't even going but my friend dragged me along to source some parts for his 1JZ swap. With 10 minutes til close I found em, finally! At 10 bucks a piece with connectors.

Cleaned up the water neck. Sub $100 coolant reroute and COPs is going well. At 60 bucks right now. Just need the spacer and stuff.

Got my seat mounted a few weeks ago. Made a bracket for the front and the rear is bolted straight through the floor. The drill went through the floor waaay to easily, scared me a little.

Good find on the COP's!

I want that seat soooo bad. Are you gonna daily the car with it in?

turotufas 04-15-2010 09:39 PM

Right now I'm driving the car as a daily. I think the aluminum seats are comfortable so I'm keeping it in. I can switch to the stock seat whenever though.

Its a really nice seat!

I'm on my way to steal those COPs and that seat

I did my civil duty. Called the police for the first time ever for a little accident outside my house. Silly scene kids. :giggle: I even cleaned up and directed traffic for them before they arrived. That way they can go away quicker!

So how are you liking the seat so far? Is the bottom still unpadded?

I think its great! A great improvement. If you're thinking about getting one, do it!

I've been driving it without the cover. Everyone told me that the seat was uncomfortable, I said no. But after playing basketball and hurting my back I say I need to use the cover. I need to stretch from now on too.

johnmatt 04-29-2010 05:55 PM

I've been looking at the Kirkey seats which look familiar to yours. How much did you pay for that seat? I've got back problems from being in a roll over when I was younger so I'm slightly concerned about it being too stiff but shouldn't be anything alittle padding can't fix

I paid $240 with the cover. The shipping was about 40 more.

johnmatt 04-29-2010 06:34 PM

What degree lay back did you get? Not a bad price either with the cover. Any interferance with shifting?

turotufas 04-29-2010 09:12 PM

It's a 16 inch, with a 20 degree layback. Shifting? No problems there for me.

I talked to a guy with the TDR Rally Sport seat and he said it's better than the Spec Miata seat all around. If it was my size I would have tried it out for myself.

johnmatt 04-30-2010 01:03 PM

I'll let ya know next time I'm down that way and maybe I could try it out
