don't watch this if you were in the Tx. miata challenge at msr-h. feeling of inadequecy and despair may prevail.

oh **** god damn I was early apexing #1 and I needed to hold tighter on the exit of the second chicane on the back. It looks like I screwed up the entire back-half of that track. I really don't understand his entry into diamond's edge. I must get out there again this year. Preferably tomorrow.

me too. they weigh more, but they have twice the rubber we do, and they're on hoosier r6's. oh, and on early braking, in time trial, if put all four off the track, that entire session is dq'ed. it's easy to critique yourself or anyone else from behind your keyboard.

Perspective changes when ears start popping from pressure differentials in the car over 110mph...and loading up 1.2g's on turn in at 92mph in the sweeper in a street car with no cage. Mortality suddenly becomes a significant factor.

If you can drive a kart fast, you can drive a car fast. Karting teaches so much more than car driving. The reflexes involved are much quicker with such a short wheel base and no suspension. I was hitting 100mph at msr-c in my 80cc with a draft, and it felt WAY faster than 140mph in a car.
Could I push that corvette faster than that driver...probably not. But I can critize him while I sit at home in my own stool with pneumonia.
MYLAPS
This was 2006, so I assume they have gotten quicker.
Point and case why I don't kart anymore, these guys up front (running faster than the vette) have about 20k in the karts, and they are all cheaters, and damn fast.
Hustler is just scarred that if I brought him karting, he would be changing hobbies lol.
