Hello! Finally decided to make an account here, I got my 91 a few years back and boy has it been a journey. I knew almost nothing about cars, and decided to jump right into learning with a miata. It was sitting in a field, non-running, automatic, thinking its life was over. Then I came along and got it running, manual swapped it, and it all took off from there. Since then it's been almost completely restored, with a few tasteful mods: cooling system refresh and coolant reroute, new suspension boots, poly motor and diff mounts, 4.3 torsen type 2, hard dog roll bar, hard top, mspnp2, lightweight flywheel and act clutch, FM front sway bar, coilovers, and a ton of other stuff im sure im missing. She's finally in a place where I think she's ready for a turbo. I recently picked up a kit with a garret from an s13 (i think it's a 2554?), FM manifold, kraken downpipe, and some ebay intercooler piping. I would absolutely love to take the car to autocross/track days, especially before I add power to it. I live in northeast Texas if you have any recommendations.
Thanks for taking the time to read this silly little post, I'm sure the internet will hear more of my tomfoolery
if you haven’t autox or tracked it yet, I would start doing that before turbo. It’s so much fun, the lack of power won’t hinder you; atleast for a while. It’ll allow you to dial in some other things as well.
