Default Not a noob but may as well be

Hi I'm Faeflora and I live in Columbia MD. I've had a 2003 SE since 2004. I turbo'd it last year with a BEGI S5, Hydra, GT3071, enthuza 3" catless. I'm a crappy installer and I haven't tuned the car yet. Got a number of issues to work out including an exhaust leak, oil leak, and dirty engine bay. Sitting in my garage is a nice real roll bar and a Hydramist. With the Hydramist I hope to safely daily 300whp on the stock block. Engine build is probably in my future but I have some other bills to pay first (house remodel). Rest of my setup is RS2 225/50 w/ 6UL 8" and KYB AGX. I want to replace the KYB. I've never really done a turbo Miata hangout or meetup but I'd like to. Except that my engine is really quite shamefully dirty for how much money I spent on it. And my car is untuned. I'm also quite mechanically and technically ignorant about cars too so I've been intimidated since I'm still a noob.

a little personal info about me-- For money I work in Data Storage (IT), am a singer/songwriter, a Krav Maga practitioner, and I used to foster cats for the animal shelter (seems some of you like ***** ).

The end.

1> Dirty engine bay = real man. I suffer from the same problem, good setup, dirty engine.
2> Data Storage? Send me some solid state drives.
3> We will most likely have a tuning day in Fairfax soon.

I am pretty ignorant when it comes to tuning, as far as laptop stuff. But I am pretty skilled when it comes to mechanical issues. If you need parts made, or have fitment issues, I can probably help. I can fabricate just about anything, all I need is measurements. Welcome! I have been planning a possible PA / NY/ NJ/ MD/ DE area miataturbo.net saturday hangout, just not sure of a date yet.

Yes I felt massive amounts of shame the first time someone was like "LET'S SEE WHAT'S UNDER THE HOOD BRO" and then they were like "oh."

SSD? Is that like PCPRO?

I will hit up the tuning day

Hey Fae, in my opinion you have the *perfect* setup. I too have devious plans for a reliable 300rwhp daily selecting 3071 + Hyrda & Hydramist to do my bidding. <insert evil laugh>

Get that thing tuned and post up some plots!
