Most here are going to point you towards MS, and if you want much help here on the forums, go MS so that others can open your logs and help

or don't

SoeedyEFI is MS based. Like an MS2 PnP with a cheap 3D printed case. If you're on a tight budget and don't have VVT there are plenty of people running then successfully, but they are feature-light.

You should also check out Nigelt's offering, another great value for money offering:

Thanks for all the help and suggestions I kinda figured they used a ms board in a cheap external packaging with less features. The flowforce one is for only up to 95 I need a 99 which is why I was looking at the speedy efi but there's no reviews on the site and the item description is like BIG BOOST and that's kinda weird in my opinion I think I'll just spend the extra money and mspnp2 that way I know what I'm getting and I can get the extra help

Hi, I'm a noob also. I have a 99 NB1 as well.

Not sure what your budget is. Maybe look for a used MSPNP2? MS is going to come with a lot of info you can find on this site and a couple others, so if support is important to you that's something to consider with the added cost. I had no prior experience with aftermarket ECUs, but I was able to get my MSPNP2 up and running...and tuning.... thanks to this site and TheCarPassionChannel on YouTube (super noob friendly intro videos).
