Hey all.
I gots me a 2000 miata. (had it for about a year now)
anyway, i've finally found someone who is gonna help me with my turbo build (finding cheap, but reliable parts).

some pics of the car.

I'm into drifting and whatnot, but i've been dying to get more power to my wheels. (although i understand a suspension might help me out more at this point, i have a buddy that'll help me put together a turbo kit for my car for about $500. why turn that away)

anyway. i'm gonna go the beginner route, with a garrett T25, and assorted parts to hopefully be getting between 6-8 psi to start out. that should get me up to around 170whp or so from what i understand. Bigger injectors (460cc rx7 injectors are quite a bit bigger and fit right perfect in the 1.8l miata) etc..

I have it all more thought and planned out than i have here.. just a little too tired to post it all up. haha.
well. wish me luck.

here is also my cardomain site if you wanna check out all the pics i've taken thus far.

here is the one for my 1968 Datsun 510 as well... I eventually want to go either KA24DET or prefferably CA18DET in it, but that's still in the future.

Well I picked up a turbo.
The very start of my process. haha.

It's a Garret AiResearch T03 from an '83 Saab 900 turbo. no shaft play. had 50k on the car when pulled.
I got it for $50!
.42 cold/.63 hot

I'll hopefully be collecting more things over the months. and when the off season comes, i'll hopefully have everything i need to put it all together over the winter.

i will most likely be "hitting you up" when i finally get it all, and get it in.
i'll need someone with experience when it comes to tuning miata turbo things.

Sweet.
My tuning skills are pretty weaksauce... I am learning though, and my car has yet to blow up since going megasquirt.

How are you planning to control your fuel/spark?

I'll have to ask my buddy what he knows about cheap fuel/spark management. i know he has some hoopty setup in his car that works fine.

I do know I'm gonna be getting some 460cc rx7 injectors off a buddy.
i also here that upgrading to a higher flowing fuel pump is a good idea too.
